Clark Girls

well girls, i think it is safe to say that we had a successful weekend. It was so much fun getting to see everyone and just hang out and relax (although I did no studying and may grades may suffer, o well). We made it back to Nashville in the early afternoon.

I have two exams tomorrow and then I am done for the semester. I cannot wait to get back to indy. Mark your calendars, we are going to be in town from Dec. 22- Jan. 4. I expect to get to have some more family time!!

Also, I was very excited to see a post for my dadio! He must have been very lonely over the weekend, but i have no doubt the blog probably kept him entertained.

First of all, She likes Elvis, I think, because that's his car in the background. And that pose is all hers as far as I know. Mom, I was at school in the bathrooms and I saw the one that makes the toilet paper swirl, Kimberly Clark. I read it.

Then, later, that same morning.

There is a story about a 92 year old man that is moving into a retirement village and when he arrives his room is not ready, so, he sits in the lobby and waits. Finally, the nurse comes out and tells him his room is ready and to please follow her. On the way to his room she tells him that she hopes he like it. He says, "Oh, yes, I like it very much." And she looks at him and says, "How do you know you like it? You haven't even seen it yet." And he says, I've already decided I like it. Happiness is something I choose in advance. It's already decided in my mind that I like the room."

I am so going to do this about everything from now on. A perfect example is when a child brings you something they painted or colored. Before you even see it you know you will love it. That is because you are reacting to their efforts in a loving manner. Like, I already decided I'm going to have a relaxing, enjoyable and fulfilling and meaningful weekend with my family. I will like my present, I will like my bed. I will like the weather and I will like it very much when I have to go back to work on Monday. Because, that's my choice to make every morning.

This is one of the side dishes for dinner Saturday night! Mother of Pearl! Do these look yumiferous or what? I am eating ice cream right now and looking at this picture of creamy, dreamy potatoes. I have a scoop of moose tacks and a scoop of chocolate. These potatoes are a Pioneer Woman recipe and I haven't tried them yet but I think they will be delish! Kelly just called and she is at Sam's Club picking up the ingredients! I told you! She's an over achiever! Her Christmas name will be Kelly Bells!

Kelly Ann Stewart AKA KP AKA Shania~just called and she is coming with us this weekend! Yeee-Hawwwww! I'm going to make her do my cooking for me ! Uhm, that may sound mean, but, believe me it's a good thing because the girl can cook! Anything I can do she can do better, she can do anything better than me. And I'm good with that, because I discovered her and that makes me sort of the boss of her! Yeah right! She even came and saw me when I was in the hospital. It was in between surgeries and I was a hot mess, minus the hot part. Well, I just heard someone in the office say something about ice cream, so, I have to go now.

This guy is an artist in California. His website is FAR OUT MAN! CRAZY! Anyway, doesn't he look like a Johnny Depp character? But, I guess he's for real. WOW! Something tells me I'm not in Nobletucky anymore. Anyway, I found him on a link on Camille Rose Garcia's websight. She's a freaky Momma too. I seeee creeeeepy peeeeeoooopplleeee

I cannot tell you how excited I am to see everyone this weekend! I cannot focus on anything else! I have been avoiding studying all day! Eek! It is all worth it though. I will say I have been productive in getting the laundry done, but that was only because it was completely awful! I think i've done 6 or 7 loads to get it all done! I don't know how it got so out of control!

Anyway, to further avoid studying, I think I am going to begin packing! yay! I am sure that I will undoubtedly overpack (I can't seem to avoid), but I really am going to work on not bringing a gillion little things.

Maverick is excited too! I've decided to bring him along for the trip because he loves the cabin so much and he really wants to see his cousin drake! I know he is a boy, but we can pretend for the weekend! Plus, I am still recovering from our time apart of thanksgiving.

Ree says she loves this Christmas album, so I thought I'd pass it on. It looks so cute. Oh, she is posting a new chapter to her "Black Heels to Tractor Wheels" love story on her blog tomorrow Do not miss it. Of coarse you have to begin at the beginning, but it's worth it! Her cookbook will be out the middle of next year. John Denver! You are as cute as a button! And if you can be cute in a room full of muppets then you know you are really something. I guess this was a tv special. I don't recall. Boo, sorry about Aretha~ big bummer! Are you really going to throw it out of the car window? hahaha, Queen of Soul? Try, Queen of "thrown out of the car window" That's Bad! Aretha! The Queen of Christmas will not abide you screaming Christmas songs. Out you go. Sorry, you can try again next year. But you are lucky, she is going to give you one more chance. We will see how it goes. And I hope you know what this means. No christmas tree sugar cookies with the green icing for YOU! Go tell THAT on the mountain!

I want to tell you all what my favorite cleaning supplies are, and why.
1.) Because, I have strong feelings about these things, I don't know why.
2.) Because, I don't want to do my work. I don't know why.
So, here goes.

1. Soft Scrub! lemon. Mostly I love it because it smells so dang good! It is really good on showers/ tubs, sinks. Scrubby dubby.
2. Mr. Clean! lemon. Talk about smelling good! Fill a bucket with warm water, add some Mr. Clean and you are in business. Good for floors, base boards, etc.
3. Glass Plus! I like the way it smells.

There you go, those are my magic three!

I have NEVER seen her with brown hair. Harkenschpookin' I barely recanize er'. Anyway, I am posting a picture of Wreath (as Conner calls her) because I rented Return to Lonesome Dove ( a five hour mini-series from back in the day and had NO idea that Ms. Witherspoon was a major character in the movie. Her name is Ferris and she is pure delight. SO, my point is, maybe you might want to watch it. Wreath is in it. This picture doesn't look like her too because she is not smiling and she always smiles. It's her favorite. ummmm. I love Lonesome Dove..... I could devote this whole blogsite to it. Conner is a Lonesome Dove trivia KING. Poor kid, I drove him to it. In the movie, one of the cowboys, Jasper Fant, tells another cowboy, Pea Eye Parker, that he is his best friend. And Conner looks at me and says the Pea Eye is his best TV friend. I will post his picture for you if'n you want me to or not. Surely you want to meet Conner's best tv friend. This is a good album. Stevie bought it and I've been listening to it. You have to give it few turns before you start to really hear her voice. She is a cross between Lilly Allen and that crazy beehive lady that I can't think of her name . You know "rehab-nonono. " She is from London too like them .BUT she has a really emotional delivery in her voice like Joan Osbourne. And she is vocally very adept. Lotsa talent here. I get an occasional Bonnie Raitt/Carol King/vibe too. Anyway if you listen to this on a rainy day you might cry. A sure stand out is her Bob Dylan cover, Make you feel my love. Break my heart come true~

So I bought some eggnog to kick off the season. And it will probably last me all season too! For some reason, I can only drink it in small amounts, but that makes it last longer I guess. It is simply delicious. My finals are kicking off tomorrow, which is good, so I can get them done and out of the way.

I am getting a little concerned because I have yet to start my christmas shopping. I love christmas shopping, I think it is the atmosphere, but I still feel like I need to improve my gift-giving skills. Some people are just impossible to shop for (mostly men). Reminds me of the good old days, going on shopping on Black Friday and getting a matching outfit with logann!

Hi guys! So I made it through the Christmas party, although it was kinda lame, but still fun to meet some people from jake's work. anyway, jake was on-call this weekend so we kinda just hung around the house, which was much needed because we have been very busy lately. We had a mini- Harry Potter marathon watching HP 3-5 today, and 2 yesterday. It was so fun, we watched 1 last week. I made some delicious spaghetti for dinner and I have been avoiding studying for finals! yay!

I had my last pediatic clinical tomorrow and the rest of the week will be spend studying and getting ready for the weekend!!!!!

Just got back from a beautiful winter weekend at Camp William. Jon and Will both got deer, Sydney, Mick, and I did some shopping in Bridgeton and Mansfield. But more importantly the cabin is all decorated and waiting for our arrival on Friday! I guess I better decide what I'm fixin' for dinner. Can't wait to see you all there. Mick and I are headed over to Bebe's to decorate her house and then back home to bake cookies. Don't you just love Christmas!!

so i forgot to share my blonde moment for friday.

so i am working at el hospital today and i went down to the cafeteria to get some lunch and nothing looked good, but i ended up settling for some soup and chips, but i was not particularly happy about it. I got to check out and as soon as she rings me up and I pay I had a glorious memory........ I had brought leftovers from Olive Garden! O no, my heart, what a shame. So I made myself eat the nasty soup and chips (because I already paid for it), but it sucked!

Now all I can think about is my awesome manicotti and all it could have been. At least I can still eat it at dinner. but I could have at least spared myself from the misery. ugh. ugh.

ps-i saw twilight for the second time yesterday, by myself, and it was still amazing.

I am so glad it is Friday! Jake and I went out to dinner with our friends, Travis & Britanny last night and the watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I honestly do not know if I have ever seen it all the way through, I always catch bits and pieces of it on tv, but I truly loved it. I was dying laughing. I can see why it is a classic! I still have 3 more holiday movies left on my list of must-watch before Christmas (The holiday, Love Actually, Rudolf!). I already have Elf knocked out, but I wouldn't be surprised if I watched it again!

OJ was sentenced to 15 years today, maybe more. I will not be surprised if he finds a way to get out early.

I cannot believe there are only 20 days left until Christmas! I haven't even started shopping yet! Eek! But I do have ideas, so that has to count for something right! I hope everyone has a great weekend! And just think... this time next week we will all be conveening at the cabin! woot woot! loves ya.

this is what the pinatas look like: hehe makes me laugh! oh and what makes me laugh even harder is their species names are mixed with candy names! I mean how can you not laugh when a horstachio comes into your garden!! or a mousemallow. ok, i am a loser, i know. but at least I have fun!! yay for a juicygoose!

So here are a few things I want now: a comprehensive review

1. Kristen Chenoweth "A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas" cd-- for those who do not know, kristen plays Galinda in Wicked and has the voice of an angel! She is an amazing Christian and listening to her Christmas cd really gets me into the mood. I've been listening to snippets of it on Itunes, deciding whether or not to buy it, which I am sure I will! I just adore. Currently, you can see her playing Reese Witherspoon's sister in Four Christmases!

2. Britney Spears "Circus"-now, I do already own this, I bought it today as soon as it was released! I know there are britney haters out there, but c'mon ya'll (britney voice) she's human too! I cannot resist the urge to rock out to her songs. That's what I call talent! And this isn't even her danciest cd.

3. Viva Pinata: Trouble in paradise- Being an avid Sims player, I looove this game. It is for the xbox 360 and you get a garden. As you cultivate your garden different animals (which are pinatas! funny) come and visit and they can live there and you can breed them and then you can make like hybrids, but not all the animals get along and so on and so forth. You have to have certain things in your garden to attract certain animals and it is just endless! The only reason I have not yet bought it is because I got soooo sucked into the original that I swear I didn't do anything for at least a month, except play that game. *mom- i thought you might be interested to know, that as part of my traits, I am rarely caught in a lie.......

so today was a little traumatic. literally. unfortunately, my patient for clinical today was in the hospital as a result of a non-accidental trauma. The very short, totally non-gory explanation of that is essentially child abuse, by the mom's boyfriend. Which is really sad, because this little baby was just three months old. I don't tell you these things to bring you down, to reflect on the respects of our family. We forget how incredibly blessed we are to live in such a safe and warm environment with responsible, trustworthy family members. This baby will literally be scarred for the rest of his life.

And if that were not enough, on my way home from clinical I managed to keep myself from t-bone-ing the car in front of my that turned sideways and flipped. Unfortunately, the guy behind me rear-ended me. The good news is, I didn't have to go to the hospital (although the girls in front of me did) and I managed to not be at fault for anything. The back of my car (which is just a baby '08) is totally mashed and destroyed, so I will probably have lots of fun weeks of dealing with the insurance companies.

And due to my amazing procrastination skills it is almost 6pm and I only have about 3 out of 10 pages done for my paper, due tomorrow! So it may prove to be a long night, luckily I am such a gifted writer ;)
