Hey Everyone!

I had an idea, First let me warn you I had to walk away from Facebook. Push away from the table so to speak. It was just getting to me. So, I am on hiatus from FB. So, I am wondering if my addiction will transfer back to Blogging...like in the old days, remember? I used to post like 5  times a day? Anyway, so, since i can't get on FB I want to do something fun on the Blog.(SEE?) And I stole an idea from Pioneer Woman. It's a photo contest.! I would like to ask everyone to submit a picture that they have taken that is their favorite. And when everyone has submitted their photo we will vote for the top three or whatever and maybe even think of an awesome prize! Okay! So lets say you have until Tuesday Morning to submit your photo and then we will all vote! yOU go gIRLS! Maybe we can make a beautiful collage with all of these pics.....project for CLARK GIRLS winter wonderland weekend? I'm going to go look for my fave pic. AND I can't even use my Facebook PAGE! I will have to go look on my computer which is a lot harder! I'MMMMMMM BAAACKKKKKKK!

That's My Boy!

Happy Birthday Conner!
Conner is nine years old today. He is the youngest of BeBe's grandchildren. He is the youngest by almost 10 years which makes him seem more like one of the great grandchildren. Conner is a bridge builder. He is the glue that connects our family together.Conner has a lot of love in his heart for everyone in this family. He could easily tell you why each of you is special to him and what makes you special. One time when he was about three he said "I'm everybody's buddy" and I think that says it all.

Prayers for Mike please

When you lay down at night and say your prayers say one for Mikey. He started his chemo cream on his face a couple of days ago and I am praying that is not going to be painful but that it does the job. Thank you!

Our senior group is starting work on our 3rd production.  The first was a "Vaudeville Show", at present we are doing  a "50's Show"
the new show is a "Broadway Review".  It's a lot of work, but we are invited back to facilities so we have to have new material.  Of course most of the people we perform for don't remember what they had for breakfast so it's doubtful they'd remember anything they've seen before.

I'm sorry I didn't respond before, but things here have been crazy since July 24, when we had 7 inches of rain and our basement was flooded.  It was 2 weeks before the guys we hired to take up the carpeting, the tile, tear out the paneling etc, etc,..... could start.  They were moving right along and the contractor's father was diagnosed with cancer and he had to go to Montana, all worked stopped for 10 days.  Then the computer went down followed by AT&T having to make 4 visits to clear up the static that kept us from being able to hear conversations on the phone.  At one point they found a mouse nest in the cable box in the back yard.  Finally, yesterday the repair man "jiggled" some wires and we are once again able to hear conversations on the phone, the computer is back up and running and the workmen return tomorrow  we hope to complete the work on the basement.

Greetings to all of your family.

Love,
Sharon

I just got back from a trip to St. Louis and have an Essie story for you to put in your memory bank.

I drove by the house at 6990 Edison and stopped to visit with the present owner of the house and the next door neighbor.  They both remembered Essie. Here is one story they told me.  When Essie was 61 years old and just about to marry Jim and move from the family home on Edison Avenue, she did a favor for her next door neighbor.  The neighbor locked herself out of her house and didn't know what to do.  There was an open window but, although this woman was only 30 she didn't think that she could climb up and into the window.  Of course Essie said, "no problem", grabbed a ladder, climbed to the second floor window, took the screen off, shimmed in the window, and opened the front door for the woman.  She only took about 5 minutes to complete this task.  Remember, she was 61 at the time!

Happenings

Hi girls!! So I am going to go ahead and make an unofficial post notifying all you lovely ladies that the Clark Girl's Christmas gathering at the cabin is scheduled for the first weekend of December, which is the 3rd, 4th & 5th. SO get excited!! We need to come up with some new fun ideas for this years get-together, so get your thinking caps on!

I am so excited to see it slowly turning to fall. We had an absolutely beautiful day for Will & Ann's wedding and all the days since have been fabulous too. This weekend Jake and I spent Friday night out on the back porch with a bonfire, tater tots and drinking. Quite the combo, but it served us well. Saturday evening we went to another beautiful wedding and danced the night away. I couldn't not have had anymore fun since my hubby ended up on the dance floor, and I'm not talking for just a slow song. He was dancing his little heart out right there with me! I was giggling with joy. Sunday morning we got up and went to see "Going the Distance" with Drew Barrymore and Justin Long. It was very funny and super cute. Good soundtrack too. And I found out that my bff had finally been proposed to! So, Megan and Kevin are officially engaged! YAY! So a big congratulations to them! Later in the afternoon we headed over to the Brownlee's to celebrate Eli's birthday which was a huge success!

I had the day off yesterday and mostly hung around the house. Jake and I booked plane tickets to go to Universal the 3rd weekend in October so that's exciting. Jake is out of town today and tomorrow in Wisconsin learning about a new product through their supplier. So it's just me and the dogs! I work all day today and tomorrow so they are going to be pretty lonely, but my fabulous mother in law is going to check in on them for me during the day. They like it when Jake is out of town though because they get to sleep in bed with their lonely mom. Oh, tomorrow is National Neonatal Nurse day and we have been having staff appreciation all week. So, today we had lunch catered by Moe's Mexican Grille, which is delicious! And tomorrow I get to have Jimmy John's catering. And it doesn't stop there, we are supposed to have something on Saturday too! But I guess I will just have to wait and be surprised. I love getting a free lunch and it is almost always better than what I brought for myself. Well, that's all that's going on in my life these days. I get excited about free food. Anyway! See ya later alligator!

I'm doing fine over her in good old Carmel Indiana. Sitting in my cubicle. Typing. I was just thinking about how beautiful Ann + Wills wedding was and how much fun the reception was and how nice Buckaroo Boot Co. looked! The dance floor was awesome! Ann's dress was beautiful and I loved Teter! Oh and the weather was glorious. Did everyone see the video Tom made? It was so good to see the Luddy family and Laura and her girls and Hunter. I keep thinking about those two on their Honeymoon! How fun! I hope they take lots of pictures!

The Tipton Pork Fest is this weekend, anyone going? Lee Greenwood is performing on Friday Night. I have never been to the Pork Fest. We are thinking of going but I bet we don't Kayla has a meet on Saturday morning EARLY!

Ronnie Milsap is going to be at the Anderson Raceway Park in December if anyone wants to go. I love Ronnie Milsap and am so excited to go see him! We all watched Coal Miners Daughter last Saturday Night. It was so much fun. Did you know you can go tour Loretta Lynn's Ranch? I want to go do that! And i want to got to the Grand Old Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame and Dollywood. I need a camper so I can go see the world! With Mike and Kelly painted on the back. Not even kidding.

Well, so, that's the WORD from my own little corner.

PEACE 2U~S.T.

although I haven't posted in a very long time.
So, post I will, I will, I will.
Here's what's on my mind.
It's hot outside.
and dry.
I hope it rains.
and rains and rains some more.
KiKi is in town.
I'm eating pretzels.
I spilled orange juice all over my cubicle this morning.
My outfit today is comfortable. cotton. cotton, cotton cotton.
I am excited about Saturday! Will and Ann are so cute. And I get to see Tunter.
I'll say Tunter! and he'll say Silly Tally! it will be epic!
Seems like forever since I've seen Tunter.
Sometimes when I say kreike I worry that it's a really bad word and I just don't know it. I think it's like heck or darn, well, it must be because Crocodile Dundee said it right? And that was PG right? So, I think I'm good. But I still worry.
I watched For love of the Game with Kevin Costner the other night and he looks so much like John Buis.
I secretly wish I didn't have a TV or a cell phone. I know it's wrong, but I do. Oh, and a computer too. And credit cards, YUCK! And a car.
I consider them all to be things that are meant to make your life easier but only complicate your life.
THE END!
