Jakey G

Oh! I forgot the cutest thing! Whenever Ty and Abby first got here Ty hops out of the car and is trying to hide something behind his back. Of course, I could see that it was some beautiful flowers in a pot, but it was so cute he just had this precious look on his face and he was trying so hard to hide those flowers behind his back to surprise me. Too funny. Abby brought me some too! I'm so lucky, although maybe one was for Jake? Nah, they were all for me!

I don't know if you can tell, but I'm pretty sure we had a little fun last night, at least I did! After Tiff and Bryan dropped the kiddies off we decided to take the doggies on a walk. Ty started out walking Lila, but this was only her second walk ever and she got a little crazy and ran around Ty a couple times basically tying(no pun intended) him up. It was so funny. He was over it after that and ran ahead of me and Abby jumping and rolling like an army dude. Too funny. The walk was pretty successful and I finally figured out that I am the 9th house on the right. We counted. I had always wondered. While we did that Jake blew the leaves out of the gutters and off the roof since there is supposed to be some rain today. So Ty and Abby made a few leaf piles and jumped around in them for awhile. I went inside to finish putting dinner together. I kept asking Ty and Abby what they liked because I didn't want to put anything on their salad that would keep them from eating so after I had asked Ty about probably the 5th thing, he told me that he will eat everything. Hmm... what a nice surprise I thought! And he pretty much did. I made a South Beach Diet lasagna which has a ton of veggies in it, including zucchini and spinach, which he questioned for a minute, but Jake told him both would make him strong and were good for him and he told us he liked to eat food that was good for him, another nice surprise! So he ate it!

After dinner, Jake got Ty set up playing the playstation and Abby helped me feed the dogs. Then Ty and I played the wii, while Jake and Abby were in the office. I think they were playing guitar and playing some candy game abby brought. Then Jake brought out his old helicopter for them to fly. He figured out how he could use his new helicopter controller to be able to take over when the old helicopter was about to crash. So the kids thought they were mostly flying it, but I think it was mostly Jake. Although, one time, he didn't take over quick enough, which resulted in a crash and so of course Jake had to give Ty and hard time about crashing it and Ty just gave it right back. So funny. It was then popcorn time and we settled on the couch in our pjs to watch Monster House, a good scary movie for Halloween. We ate about a million bowls of popcorn too. And then we all went off to bed! Pretty perfect night!

I got up and sent Jake off to work this morning and now I am hanging out on the couch blogging and sipping my coffee waiting for round 2 as soon as the kiddies wake up! So sad to think I can't just steal them, because Tiff knows where to find me ;)

And of course, the beautiful Abby. She was having a blast piling up all the leaves in our yard and running and jumping in them. If you are wondering, in the bottom picture Jake had found a worm at the top of the driveway so they blew it out into the street and Abby followed him watching the entire time.

Monkey!

I've just had the best time ever with my little monkey. He's a great little helper, I think I should have him over more often! I love his face on the ladder, like "what? Why can't I get up on the roof??". Don't worry Tiffer, he didn't!!

I wish I knew how to take one of those cute pictures of myself that those young chickies love to snap. Yesterday 5 different people told me how cute I looked, loved my dress, great necklace - mostly strangers. I had on my perfectly broken in Frye knock off cowboy boots, brown tights, brown smock $18 dress from Meijer, curly hippie hair, flowing tan chiffon scarf, and my most favorite turquoise necklace with the big flat rock pendant that Kelly gave me years ago, oh and a light green coat. I was a sight...sorry you missed it, but you can bet I'll be wearing it again!!! Maybe I should do a CGHS TV interview in that get-up? Stay tuned.

So it is an absolutely beautiful fall day. My yard it chock full of leaves and it makes me want to make a big pile to jump in. Oh my! There is a pesky squirrel looking in my window. It just pounced up on my back deck and made its way to the window. Good thing maverick is napping because he would have gone absolutely bananas!! So cute. Squirrels are cute aren't they? Anyway, I am super excited because tonight Ty and Abby are coming over and spending the night! I know, go ahead and be all jealous. I am going to make lasagna too. I was thinking we should watch a Halloween movie too. Good thing I have a lot of kiddie movies, because I'm just a big kid myself. I don't have Casper though and I wish I did. Oh well.

Tomorrow I have to go back to the BMV and get my car registered in Indiana and get my license plate. I am not looking forward to it, but it was actually quite fast last time so I hope it will be like that again. Kelly, I liked your status update this morning. Truly lovely. I want to hear about Hick's cruise and maybe even see a few pics!

I am finishing up my book today. It was very good and perfect for fall. I just don't know what to move on to next though... hmm... any good book suggestions? I always have a few on my shelf, yet to be read, but none are calling my name right now.

I Love This Picture!

It's off of Toms websight~Don't scream, it's only Halloween! His websight is awesome! He needs to start giving away free stuff occasionally, That's what Pioneer Woman does and she has 10, 0000 hits. She gave away two of those kitchen aid mixers. Then she gets advertisers money because her traffic is heavy. And Tom is so Bonafide! Her cookbook hits the shelves today. The only thing she does that He doesn't is homeschool.....hmmmm. I could totally see Tom doing that. Although, I can't wait to see what Vivian thinks about school when it's time. Can you see her telling the teacher that it's time to probably go outside, or whatever it is she has in mind. I just love Vivian's approach, she's so crafty.

Hello Loves. I have the day off. I am doing my usual morning thing, after letting the dogs play around outside for awhile, while I sit on the porch we have moved inside for quiet time. haha. That means I have Lila on the couch with me and Mav at my feet while I catch up on the internet. After that I will probably check out my dvr and see what needs to be watched. Phew, what a tough day. If I get really inspired I might go ahead and get out of my pjs and put on some clothes, but that undoubtedly won't happen until after noon. I also need to paint my toenails... I hope I have time ;)

Anyway, I think the housewarming party this weekend was a success, even with a weak clark girls showing (sad). We had tons of delicious food and plenty of laughs. I will have to have those of you who missed it over very soon. And of course, we don't have to plan anything either, you can just stop on by (I might be in my PJs). We had a pretty good showing though and I think I was most excited to little vivian and jocelyn. Viv really opened up to me (I think it was bc for once stevie wasn't around for her to cling to!) which I loved. We just followed each around. Jake showed her how he makes Lila dance and she pretty much thought it was hysterical and then she kept going around all night asking people if they had seen Lila's Super Dance and then she would try to make Lila dance. It was quite cute.

Sunday we did pretty much absolutely nothing which was just perfect. After hanging around on the couch for a couple of hours after sleeping in we headed up to Noblesville to drop some stuff off at mom and dad's and have dinner with them. I bought Lila a pig outfit to wear for Halloween, but it is too big so I am going to take it back, but I might have to snap a few pics of it first.

Yesterday I worked and then for some reason came home in a terrible mood. My dinner that I was making just was not going according to plan so I pretty much sulked in my bed while I finally got it all under control and was waiting for it to cook. I was tweeking a recipe that I had already made and it tasted great, but I always hate making a big meal after I get home from working 12 hours and of course there were a few things just went awry. O well! That's life. The night ended up better, snuggled in bed watching Parks and Recreation. It was funny. Plus, this morning I decided to just sleep in rather than getting up to tend to the dogs, luckily my fabulous husband did all that for me!

Love of my life

I have a new found obsession with Michael Buble. He is just the best thing. Now this video isnt the "official" video but I think it just shows how adorable he is. I am pretty sure he actually wrote this song for me.

MOVIE TIMEE

ok these are two movies i can not wait to see this holiday season.

1. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus: aka Heath Ledgers FINAL performance!! It looks so crazy and weird but interesting.

2. Everyone's Fine: It just looks like a nice little Holiday movie with an excellent cast. I just love Robert Dinero

I got the H1N1 shot yesterday. I feel like part of history. Of course, Jake says all the H1N1 hype is government fabricated and it is just to take the attention off Obama's poor decisions. He's crazy. Anyway, I got the shot, it was free and available, so why not?

Oh Tori!

I found the cutest free backgrounds at above link. I have one on my Hinkle Creek Blog OMGoodness they are soo cute! totes presh! Anyway, she has instructions at the bottom of the page, You have to be in the minima template and you have to go to add a gadget but it's super easy! Not that I don't love your pumpkin, cuz I do.

WiLd

I'm not going to try to explain this movie because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I really liked it though.

So glad we finally get to see baby Sparrow. But what is truly undeniable is the adorable smile on Harlow's face!! What a grin. Big sis def steals the spotlight!

So this weather is magnificiant i absolutly love it i was beginning to be afraid that we would not get to see a beautiful fall and you no what that would have made me very very sad.

So i have watched the first two Saw movies and i love them! they are just so... WOW (that is MOM upside down)

so i finially bought some cute boots, which Tori shared with you because she is so fabulous, and a cute leather jacket it is girly and from Van Maur (sp) and personally i do not think you can go wrong with Van Maur...

i just got the flumist and it was strange having stuff invade my nostrals... ya no... but now i am experiencing a very strange headache the kind you get when you like hit you nose really hard? and trust me i have hit my nose plenty of times and no what i am talking about. and also my temp. is feeling strangelike i was containing heat... but now the temp thing is feeling more normal but not he head thing... how strange...

i wish i had something erally important to say...

I took a math test it was pretty easy except the last three problems because they were horrible storyproblems that sucked. and it was like tom was the star besketball player... scored 20 field something or anothers... greg scored 9 shots... soemthing about 2 and 3 pointers... so yes you see it was great...

Friday i get my wisdomteeth removed it will be wonderful. hahahahahaha not. maybe it will be. i mean i miss school and they give me drugs and mommy said i get to lie down and she will bring me things.

oh and Kyndrick is coming to visit thisweekend because he has a choir thing that should be exciting.

These are Stevie's new boots. I forgot to tell you the best part. You can fold them down and snap them! Then they like a little bit above your ankle. Yes, see i put the pic of the back on there so you could see. I wish the pics were better because they are so cute. But this is the general idea.

FABooLOUS neW BacKGroUnD

Uhmmm, No Tori, Stevie Wevie is glad she did not got to Chicago. We waited nine hours total on Saturday, so...no.
The leather jacket she bought is so cute.(I turned around and there she was, wearing this black leather jacket, like, "look Mommy, aren't I cute?" and I was like Whoa, why is Nic in my kitchen? I didn't say anything to her, but whoa Nelly! Thast jacket is so Nic, well, minus the ruffle I guess.)And the boots and jeans are cute too. I can't write much more but I did want to tell you that one of the producers from AGT was talking to someone nearby and he was saying that Sharon Osbourne is a real sweetheart and that Pierce is so easy to get along with and so funny and that David Hasslehoff is a crazy nutball.Totes obv, I know, but still. So, that is some indside Hollywood SCOOP!Also, you know how you see young hollywood papparazzi pics and everyone looks all disheveled and dirty and mismatched and mis-fitted? Well, that is how all the young people from the show were dressed. I was , like, "ohh, it's a thing." It's their west coast style to look like that. It's not grunge. It's sort of how Stevie dressed two-three years ago! OHHHH Fashionista strikes again. ALSO, more news on the fashion front. ALL the women in Chicago were wearing their tall swede strappy, buckly boots. Not exactly surprising, but EVERYONE was wearing them, oh and they mostly had heels too. My hand me down EMU's were not really cutting it Chicago style, but, whatever, unlike Stevie, I'm about two years behind. But, that's just how I do it. Oh, and just one more thing, I watched three movies I'd never seen before. I watched Sunshine Cleaning, Life or something like it & Management. I actually liked them all pretty well. Nothing too heavy. Steve Zahn was in two of them and I looove him. YES I DO! Rando POST! Yeah MEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Background

Oh, and I promise to try and find a new background for the blog after many complaints from "old eyes". :)

Hi dolls! I made a really great coffee this morning. I dropped my espresso pot and it splattered all over my tile floor a few weeks back. It was very sad. So now, when I want to froth my cream, I have to put a coffee cup in there to catch the extra unused water. It is quite complicated. Anyway, I definitely feel like I am becoming a morning coffee drinker. I am not sure if I want to be or not. I mean I like coffee, but I don't want to have coffee stained teeth or anything, although I don't feel like that really happens and now there is so much whitening technology I wonder if it is really an issue. I should probably take this up with Amy. But on the other hand, when I let the dogs out in the morning and stand outside for at least 5 minutes I get so chilled and no one wants to be chilled, so it is always better to come back in and warm up with a hot cup o' joe. I think they are the reason all of this started. Because it has been so cold in the mornings (and i know it is only going to get worse) and I am out there with the doggies. I also only drink it if I am not planning on going back to bed when Jacob leaves for work. Like today, I decided I needed to stay up and spend some time relaxing on the couch before I start all of my chores.

First off, I have my scrapbooking mess to clean up from yesterday. It felt so good to finally scrapbook! I got the dogs pages done, but I think I want to go back and buy a new scrapbook to put them in. I ended up using smaller pages so I need a smaller book to put them in. I also need to get to the walnut and poo cleaning. But I also need to fill in all the holes in our trim (that has been done for like at least 3 weeks i am guessing) with wood putty, and then do some paint touch ups, but I have no stir-sticks so I will need to get some of those too. I also have laundry and cleaning, but I will probably do the cleaning tomorrow.

Tonight should be great though because Jake is going to come home and cut the grass and then we are having salmon for dinner! Yummy, my fav. And then we will hopefully get all cozied up on the couch in front of the fire. I love having a fireplace. That was one of the things I knew I had to have in our new casa.

I am reading a new book. I may have told you. It is called "Her Fearful Symmetry" by Audrey Niffenegger (great last name, right?!). She wrote "The Time Traveler's Wife". It is very good so far, although I feel I just haven't had enough time to read it as much as I want (another goal for today, or maybe this evening in front of the fire). It is about two twins who had some falling out and no longer speak, for over 20 years. After one of them dies, she leaves everything to her twin's daughters (who are also twins). So these little twins head off to London and live in their aunt's flat (although they have never met her). What they don't know is that their aunt's ghost is still there and blah blah blah. That's about as far as I have gotten. Except I still don't know why the original twin's are estranged other than a few mentions of Edie running off with Elspeth's fiance (who is now Edie's husband and the younger twins' dad!). Drama, I know. Anyway it is good and I like it! I will keep you updated on the story!

Hi All!! O my I feel like I have so much to tell. First of all, I loved your post Kelly. It was fabulous to hear your stories of Chicago and I cannot wait to hear more. And I am just dead sure I will see Conner's sweet face on AGT this year. I just know it. The hotel sounds amazing. Is Stevie sad she didn't go? Well I am glad that she didn't, and I will tell you why in a moment.

First off, on Friday I had to go to the license branch and get an Indiana license. This also means I had to take the test as well! EEK! I was nervous but felt sure that if I could reason my way through four years of nursing school tests that I could get by on this one. Well luckily, I passed, the two guys in front of me weren't as lucky and I had nothing else to do that day and then I remembered that Noblesville had the day off from school! Yay! So I call my Stevie to see if she wants to play, and she does and she even had her mom's car too! So we were going to meet a Von Maur and in the meantime I swing by Home Goods and TJ Maxx and BestBuy. I ended up having some time to kill because Stevie had to get the car jumpstarted and then go to the bank and when she got to the bank she remembered that she forgot to shut the garage door. My lordy. But we had an amazing shopping day at the Castleton Mall. We tried on boots and scarves and all that good stuff. Stevie found the boots of her dreams and I will admit that they are perfect for her. They are canvas and have a hidden wedge heel. I tried on a few promising pairs, but nothing I was ready to commit to yet. So we headed back to my house with purchases in tow and decided to watch a scary movie. Jake came home and we ordered pizza and listened to music. It was fun. Nice and relaxing.

Let's see, after that I worked all weekend so not much to add there except for the fact that we had a pitch on saturday and sunday so I ate some delicious food, including a snickers pie. i loooove snickers, it is by far my favorite candy bar! What do you guys like?

Then today I went to a scrapbook store in castleton that I had never been to and it was amazing. There were so many things I wanted to buy and I haven't really done a lot of scrapbooking since the wedding so I was totally re-inspired (and therefore spend 115 bucks! eek!). I also got bought new curtains for my sliding glass door because I cannot stand vertical blinds (they scream 80s!-- in a bad way, not a good way). So my lovely husband put them up for me. I also went to the grocery store and then scrapbooked all afternoon. So perfect.

Tomorrow I need to pick up the dog poop and walnuts in my backyard. I cannot wait for everyone to come and see the house on Saturday! I have just been dying to have a party. I also need to plant my tulips, but I you know, I am just not feeling motivated. And I doubt I will after I pick up walnuts and poop!

It's my uncle tom's bday tomorrow. Isn't he just the cutest? I think so. I love going to his house and having dinner. He has such a relaxing way of life and to think he used to be a New Yorker. Loves it.

Today was beautiful right? I am so glad that the sun was out and it was too cold. I feel like it got too cold too fast. Brrrr. I like this it. It actually feels like fall. Yay!

I saw really cute dog halloween costumes at target today. I thought dog costumes were too expensive and maybe a little over the top and then my mom asked today if my dogs were dressing up and so now I feel like they should. I don't know, is it too much?? I don't want to be like a stage mom or anything, but they were cute and Lila could be a ladybug for just 9.99! haha. What are all my little cousins going to be for Halloweeen? I know Abby is MJ and Ty is going to be an Army dude. What about Conner? Lo? Kayla??

Something To Talk About

Chicago was wonderful! We love, love, loved it! We borrowed Patty's big red van so the kids could lounge around in the back and watch videos it has a VCR so the went vintage and watched The Little Mermaid, The Muppets and The Brave Little Toaster. We drove past a wind mill farm which I had never seen. That was spectacular! Oh, and we got a mobile phone for our trip, so I will have to give everyone our new number. We drove by McCormick Place(The Convention Center) so we knew where to go on Saturday morning.(Mike's idea, very practical)and then we drove down or up I mean LSD. Then we headed west through the heart of the city. The traffic was getting thicker by the minute (Friday 3:00) So we decided to head to our hotel. We pulled into the parking lot and out of the corner of my eye I see a man on the ground next to an electric chair. I say, "Oh, Mike look, that Man has fallen." So Mike pulls to the side and jumps out to see about this silver haired gentleman who is struggling to get back into his chair. His legs don't seem to work at all and his arms aren't strong enough to pull him up. I see Mike trying to help him but it's looking dicey so, I grab the keys, lock the van with Kayla and Conner inside and run over to help. We get him up into his seat and he explains that is is staying at the hotel for the MS Society Meeting. I have no idea how he drove himself there but he was driving an old chevy van. He fell trying to get his suitcase out of the side door. Ahh, it was heartbreaking but he was very determined and very independent. His name was Larry, I know this because he had an old hard shell suitcase and his name was on the side of it. I was concerned that he was injured but he didn't want to talk about that. I walked with him into the hotel and carried his bags for him and Mike parked the van. Mike ended up having to throw his jacket into the dumpster, it was soiled from having picked Larry up off of the ground. So, now we all are in the lobby and Larry wheels off on his own. We check in and I tell Jason, who is the front desk rep. about Larry because I was still concerned that he had been injured. Jason gives us a voucher for breakfast for all of us. and he tells us that if Mike wins AGT he will give us a Suite too! Our room is on the third floor, we turn and walk toward the elevators and it's then that we realize how beautiful and opulent our surroundings are. Four glass elevators and two glass escalators and an open lounge with a fireplace and a gorgous open restaurant and a gift shop and a coffee shop and a glass ceiling. And real plants covering all of the balconies and stone and tile and oh my gosh it's so big and beautiful. So, up we go. I meet a group of people with Habitat for Humanity who are there for a convention and we talk about Jimmy Carter. We walk into our room and it is modern and so cool. It's just so pretty, it's white and chrome and dark brown and rust and blue. I just love it. We hang out for a bit, go get ice, Conner is loving the escalators and elevators and then we decide to just have dinner in the bar. It's dark and plush and very fun. We order shrimp and calamari for appetizers which are delish. I order a dirty Stoli martini with the big olives in it and it is divine, Kayla and Conner both ordered Ginger Ale, yum. After we eat we walk all over the hotel and it is amazing, and we sit by the fire for a while and the guy at the coffee shop gives Conner a free hot chocolate! We have to get up early so we head back up to our swanky digs. Before going to bed we make our posters for Mike and they are precious as precious can be.Oh and you can see planes outside our window which is super cool too.
5:00 AM comes early and we head out for our adventure. We stop at the cafe on the way out which was so delightfully delicious. We get to the Convention Center and park and get in line. It's chilly out but not freezing and we are dressed properly so it's all good and pretty exciting. There was a man in a long black coat in a wheelchair behind us and he was so stoic. I wanted to talk to him so bad but he kept avoiding eye contact with me. He intrigued me to no end. He looked like Christopher Walken and he was all alone. I hope he makes it to the finals so my curiosity can be quenched. I feel like he may sing Gregorian chants or something, I have no idea.
It's all very exciting crazy people everywhere. And then here come the camera men swooping by and they do a MAJOR close up on Conner! AHHHH! Jumping up and down, screaming, holding up our signs. Finally we get to go into the Convention Center and we are lead into a large room in which we will spend the net three hours acting like fools for the TV Cameras, Nick Cannon comes out, He does his bit, that hand out little American flags so we can wave them too. Conner chases some woman down to get one and then we are finally ushered into yet another room where we get registered an WAIT SOME MORE! There are 100 stories of all we saw that day. I have to go for now, but, if I can I will continue later with the rest of the story, and as always, I learned some stuff about myself, about people and about L-I-F-E!

WONDERING WHERE I AM?? MARCO WITH BERRY'S ERTEL'S HEADING ON A CRUISE TOMORROW GOOD DAY!!!!

I'm sorry, but Jen Aniston has once again rekindled her romance with John Mayer. Hello, I don't think third times the charm when it comes to relationships. Crazy! Jen needs a good man, not a little boy!

So I am at work for the first day this week. They only needed me today because one our patients has a bunch of tests and procedures today. So I am basically perosonally escorting this baby everywhere. I am sitting with her in a sleep study right now. We got here at 9 and should be done around 1230! All I have to do is be at the bedside! Which means I don't really have to do anything. The craziest part is that I started a new book last night and so I decided to bring it work today, which was the first time I'd ever done that. Well I am very glad that I did becuase I will definitely be getting some reading done. I wish I had the foresight to know that I might need my phone charger. I've been on it for about the last hour catching up on email, popsugar, blog, Twitter and whatnot. I might die if my phone dies!

Anyway did you hear the good news? The New Moon soundtrack is coming out tomorrow. It was supposed to come out next Tuesday but they pushed it up! So exciting. I have to work this weekend (if I don't get called off) so I don't really have any exciting plans. Oh! But I did get someone to switch weekends with me so I am free for the Clark girls Xmas! I can't wait. It is rapidly approaching and will be here before we know it!

Where is everyone this week?

I can't wait. It is rapidly approaching and will be here before we know it!

Where is everyone this week?

What does this mean? I was in the garage about to get in the car when I realized I was wearing my slippers. I am apalled at myself. Have I lost it. I can just see myself cruising through pier 1 and lookig down thinking omg. Now we have to turn around becuase I forgot the coupon. Jake's mad. Well fake mad really. Trying to tell me he is going to make we walk back to get the coupon. Riiiiiight... Good thing I'm wearing tennis shoes and not slippers!

So Nights in Rodanthe was good. As usual, the book was better. Halfway through I was kinda thinking it was just so-so, but by the end of it I decided I liked it. Then I watched Drop Dead Gorgeous. This used to be one of my fav movies in high school. It is soo funny. It has Kirstie Alley, and Kirsten Dunst and Denise Richards. It is about a beauty pageant in a small town. I just love it. So funny. Anyway, I think I definitely completed my rainy day task of doing absolutely nothing.

I took Lila to starbucks with me this afternoon and the lady in the pick up window gave her a cup of whipped cream. She truly loved. It was funny because she had it all over her little beard (Jake calls her the bearded lady). Too Cute!

Threaded

So I got my eyebrows threaded yesterday. It was an interesting experience. They tell you that threading is better for the skin than waxing, but I also think it hurt more. The pain was probably less than what you feel when you get waxed, but when you get waxed it's like ripping of a band-aid. You do it once and it is over. Well with threading, you get it done over and over and over. Ouch. I like the results though. It had been awhile since I had my brows done professionally (I've been known to wax them myself) so I needed a good touch-up. So I guess I am still undecided as to whether or not I am a fan of the threading. I mean, either way, I guess it is going to hurt. Oh, the price of beauty (actually it was only 8$! can't beat that!)

Well, it is another rainy day. I really like rainy days, but I really despise wet dogs. I was supposed to work today, but I got called off. Since I am the newbie I haven't had any "peel" hours (which means hours where you have been called off work) so I am the first one to get called off anytime there are too many people on the schedule and not enough babies. Normally we have about 20 babies, right now we only have 14 and therefore need less nursed. So I guess I have to build up the peel time some how. So here I am on a rainy day with nothing to do. I am sure I will find something, although I thought yesterday I needed to get everything done since I would be working today and tomorrow. I mean I already made dinner and everything. I still need to get my Indiana license, but who wants to do that in the rain? I might help me not smile though I guess. I was thinking about watching a scary Halloween movie, but I feel like that is more of a group activity. I really want to watch Sleepy Hollow though and it would be a good day for it even though my usual rainy day movie is Goonies, or Dirty Dancing or Edward Scissorhands. But I also have some good romantic movies lined up waiting to be watched that I'm sure Jake will be glad I viewed without him. He really likes Sleepy Hollow.

Maverick loves his backyard. And I love that he loves his backyard (except when it is raining and he wants to go out all the time). He just goes out there and walks around and scopes everything out. Usually Lila just runs around and follows him. Ever since I tore out all the tomato plants they like eating all the leftover tomatoes on the ground, so that works out for me I guess. He loves to chase the squirrels too! Luke came over the other day and was watching Mav outback while we were talking and he said Mav came really close to getting one before it hopped over the fence. Anyway, when it's raining I let the dogs in and out through the garage.

I have decided to watch Nights in Rodanthe. I read the book and I've just had the movie sitting around forever waiting to be watched. So here it goes!

My preshy little stud!

Ummm, ok seriously?????

Update!

Hi! Well, Mike won the Talent Show on Saturday Night! He won $500 to be given to the Polio Foundation. His Boss sponsored him so he chose the recipient. Mike got a big trophy with 1st place on it! Pretty Amazing! He is heading to Chicago on Friday. We are trying to decide who all should go with him. He is thinking about staying with Aunt Sharon on Friday night. I'm wondering if Michaela and Conner would like to go. There may be a lot of waiting around. And I'm not a big Chicago person. What does everyone think we should do? I was thinking of just him going. It would be easier that way for sure. And if we all go well, you know. And, I have all of my weekend cleaning jobs to do. But, Conner's game was moved to Sunday which is a bonus. And he needs to decide what song to sing
Neon Moon
Almost Home
are top contenders.

MJ

I just listened to the newly released Michael Jackson song "This is It". I liked it. It is more of a ballad less of a dance tune, but some of my fav Michael songs are ballads. One thing that never changed about Michael was how awesome his music was, even when he wasn't feeling so awesome himself.

2Day

it is sooo cold, I sent Jayce to school with only a light jacket...bad momma. I have cleaned out closets for the Mission in Kentucky, that made me happy. Going out to lunch to have some shrimp egg foo young, on the adikins diet, need to loose 5 befor the cruise cuz i will surley gain at least 5. John doing the same and also no alcohol for a week so we will be good to go for our vaction. alking to johnny everyday, we still have no plans for him, he his safe wherer he is and somewhat comfortable. its the nicest facility in the state..He just wants out near Christmas to be with Jayce before he gets sentenced. Enough of that leaving for lunce...also i have a pot roast in the oven yummy

No! At least not in my opinion, but I do enjoy some good zombie fare! Yesterday Jake and I went to go see Zombieland. It is a horror farce. It was definitely funny, definitely gory and the perfect date night movie... well, maybe if you're movie taste is as strange as mine and Jake's. Anyway, to make it even better I got a New Moon collectors cup! yay! And then at the end of the movie I almost threw it away. Well, I did throw it away and then Jake was like "why are you throwing your cup away?" so I had to run back and get it. Silly me. Woody Harrelson was in the movie too along with some younger peeps, including Abigail Breslin. Woody was quite funny and was pretty much a zombie-killing machine. The movie is about the last few survivors in the world, after most people have become zombies. The main character, Columbus, has survived by coming up with a survival list that he does his best to follow, and has pretty much worked. He ends up meeting Tallahassee (Harrelson) along the way, who is obsessed with finding Twinkies. They also come across two sisters, Little Rock and Witchita. Anyway they pretty much just kill zombies and have fun. Nice right?

Anyway, I feel so productive today. I got up and had breakfast and then started on what boxes were leftover in the guest room. Mostly books and stuff, so I got my bookshelf set up, and all my random things organized in the guest room closet. I need to get a few more storage containers for a few little things here and there and then I should be smooth sailing. We put away our extra deck furniture, Jake got the garage all organized and his workbench and some shelves set up. I made a delish South Beach friendly veggie beef stew, perfect for a fall day. Oh, I also bought 50 tulip bulbs on sale at menard's last night. I didn't get them in the ground today, but I have tomorrow and tuesday off, so I am in no hurry. I think we are going to have a bonfire tonight. We have a bunch of the old trim so we are going to burn it. I also put up my few halloween decorations. I really want to buy some more, although I probably shouldn't. I have a cool witch hanging from my fireplace though! I'm listening to the Juno soundtrack on the record player. I also listened to Stevie Nicks, while I was piddle-farting around the house. Now I am waiting for Jake to come out the garage and help me hang a few things on the walls. Such big decisions about where things should go or if they should even be put up. Have I said how much I love my new house? Well, I do, I love it. I think it is cozy, but that could just be me. I think it is hard to get a perspective on your own house, because you are just used to it being the way it always is, and don't really think of things in other ways. Like now that the furniture is where it is, I think it would be weird to change it, but I think I want to! Oh my. ANyway, what a beautiful weekend right? We definitely needed it though, with all the rain this week. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Friday 5:00

Sitting in my cubicle. Typing on my keyboard. It's raining out. I have a new sweater on. I like it very much. It's warm. I am making fried pork chops for dinner tonight. The kind Mom used to make. In a skillet. And I am going to make new potatoes and garlic. YUM. That is my plan. Although Stevie called and said Mom's furnace was not working so Mike will need to run over there. Michaela is at her friend Lindsay's house spending the night. Stephanie is tired because she went to see Taylor Swift last night with A.J. Conner's football game was canceled for tomorrow. He wants to run in the Cross Country race in the morning though. I will be cleaning at Hic's house all afternoon tomorrow because I haven't been there in like foreeeeveeer! And tomorrow night Mike is singing in a contest for The Rotary Club. I will not be going. If he wins the money goes to charity and his boss is sponsoring him. He is going next weekend to audition for America's Got Talent. His audition time is 9:00 AM Saturday Morning in Chicago. And then the weekend after that Stevie gets her wisdom teeth pulled. I cannot wait to go see Where the Wild Things are. And Alice in Wonderland should be coming out soon. And then Twilight. And, will there be another Harry Potter? I'm so confused. I am the only one at the office and it is so quiet. Everyone leaves around 5:00 and I stay until 6:00 because I come in at 9:00 so I can get Conner on the bus in the morning. It's not so bad because the traffic is thinner. I'm feeling pretty bad about this post right now because it's hardly worth posting it's so dull and lifeless. I should have just mad e a list of all the things i have to do this weekend and you would basicaly get the idea of what is on my mind. Well, I still can i guess, why stop being boring and pathetic now? Why not be completly dull?
ahhhk, I don't even have the energy. Anyway, suffice it to sy that I have a long list of things I'd like to get done this weekend. An amazingly long list. Well, from what I can tell the bombing of the moon went alright. I guess. Oh that crazy N.A.S.A what will they think of next? Okay, I need to back away from the keyboard.
ttfn.

Hooray for Friday! What are everyone's weekend plans? Is it ever going to quit raining? Do I need to start watching Glee? I don't want to be missing out on anything. I though last night's ep of the office was super presh. I doubt anyone else watched it though. Hmm.. I think we are going to lay pretty low this weekend. I need to get some stuff hung up on the walls and maybe put out some Halloween decorations and I think Jake wants to get the garage organized. I also need to get my guest room closet under control.

We had a fire in the fireplace last night and it was amazing. I truly enjoyed it. I also went to Trader Joe's yesterday and was thoroughly satisfied with my purchases! yummy.

Oct 8th!

Today is my dadios bday!! Isn't he awesome? I sure think so! He deserves more than I can give him, so a few kind words will have to do. I couldn't ask for a better dad and I am pretty sure more than just a few people are probably jealous! Happy 51st and 51 more!

Happy Birthday!

LIFE DRAWINGG

So I think everyone knows I am doing a Life Drawing class this semester which is .. Drawing naked people every class for 2 1/2 hours. ughhh ewwww. Well let me tell you, I think me and my friend Rosie are just very immature. The guy dropped his clothes and I began laughing so hard that I had to leave the room. Now, I didnt even look at him.. It was just because I had been anticipating it and knowing that I was going to laugh. My teacher came out, smiled at me and said I was not the first person to do this and to just chill in the hallway. Ever since then I have been fine but uhhh I nearly peed my pants. We have had models with nipple piercing and tattoos on there downstairs!! It was been a real eye opener!!

Listen to how would traveler I am right now: Just got home from a 4 day stay in Miami (for soccer), I am headed to Daytona Beach today, and finally I am headed to Knoxville tomorrow!!!. Wooooohooo so exciting!! (ok maybe thats not very worldyyy but it sure is exciting)

I have a new favorite show, Glee!! It is soo fun! Tune in

I keep meaning to post this cute pix from Homecoming!!

What's going on with Logann? Haven't heard from you in a while!!!!!!! Miss you! Give a "Holla"!

MICK IS A MAN

Wow. First word that comes to my head when I think about Mick's honor yesterday. I really had no idea what exactly it was going to be about and was anxious to find out. It was way more than I expected. I wasn't expecting, to be honest, to be moved like I was. It wasn't just about all of his accomplishments (which i am not brushing aside because they are great), it was more about who he is, who he'll become, his faith, his FAMILY, and always being a noble man. It was something I was glad to have been a part of. And I got to see a side of Mick I had not known. And hearing him speak of his mother, father, sis and brother, and hearing them speak of him, what a unity. I just wanted to voice my feelings because it was just really neat! I had no idea! Way to go Mickster!!!!!!!!

Beauty Abound

If I close my eyes I am right back there. The beautiful sun shining down. The leaves rustling in the breeze. The smokey smell from the fireplace. Watching the smoke waft around the fireplace. The flags waving when a gust of wind would rush through the shelter. The look on Mics face. He's not a boy anymore. I try to read his thoughts. He's happy and relieved but not giving too much away. He's not emotional but his cup is full, it's brimming. He's humble, he knows he got here with help. He's slightly uncomfortable with all of the attention but he's okay with it too. He's beautiful. Mick has the most amazing eyes. He says a lot with his eyes. What he doesn't show you or tell you is there, in his eyes. Seems like he's holding back a grin or a tear, or both.
I can't stop thinking how much KiKi would have loved today. So, I do as she would have me to do. Try to remember everything so can tell her all about it. BeBe looks so cute in her black hat , silver hair and pink lipstick. BeBe is beautiful.
Kim is in the zone, making sure everything is done and everyone is ready. The Davis's are there in complete support of their friends. What great friends they are.
The staircase is impressive in person. So symbolic too. I look back during the ceremony and see Andy Davis with a tear just now falling down his cheek. Quickly he wipes it away. Is there anything so touching as a blue eyed man with tears of pride? There is so much love in the air the whole ceremony is covered with it. Each step of the ceremony is lovingly tended to. All of the attention to detail in preparing today is evident. And it matters, it too is symbolic of what is happening in Mick's life.
Tori's prayer is precious. Dear God, thank you for everything and keep my brother safe and strong. How sweet is this girl? She loves her brother.
Kim speaks of her love of Camp Crosser and what it means to her and her servants heart shines through. A woman of substance, my sister.
Jon Hirschfeld who can tug at my heartstrings like no other is standing right in front of me and he turns to pick up the rifle that he is about to give to Mick and as he is pulling back the canvas case he pauses for a second and looks up at the tree line over my head and I see it. I see a depth and an honor and a pride in those blue eyes of his that makes my knees weak. He looked like the true blue, salt of the earth cowboy that he is at heart, reaching for his gun and scanning the horizon. Not looking for Indians just taking one second to remember this moment.
Micks speech did not disappoint. When he thanked Will for sharing his love of the great outdoor with him I thought the doors of my heart were gonna bust wide open. And then he said that Tori was one of the most caring people he knows. And his acknowledgment of his parents dedication and support. And then he says that he loves talking with his dad about just anything in the car or anywhere. And how he appreciates his Fathers point of view and his integrity and all that makes him special. Mick said it better than I am here. But let me tell you, it was a great little speech he put together. Mick is smart and capable and talented. Yes. He has a great support system, yes. He is funny and creative. Yes. Mick is motivated. Oh yes. But mostly, Mick gets it. He just does. Still waters run deep.
And Will has his special way of being so charming, just the way he slowly walks up front. He looks tall and handsome as always. He too is proud beyond measure. Will is just a beautiful person. His calmness and his humility always make me so proud of him. His gentle manner and his quiet spoken sense of humor are always a welcome sight.
I hope for just one second you could feel the joy that was in my heart when I was trying to sing that beautiful song Kim chose. I was trying to be so brave. There must be a little baby eaglet in me. I was scared but I did it anyway. Sharing that moment with Mick made me feel stronger. I kept thinking about how many times he must have been scared or uncertain but he did it anyway.
Mom used to have a little porcelain perfume case with youth dew in it. And on it it said "The gift is small, but love is all." The reason we do the things we do is what matters. Our intentions are what count. That is why it was such a beautiful day and such a meaningful ceremony. It was a celebration of people who are over and over again doing things to lift one another up. Each small act of kindness is followed by another. Each encouraging word. Each pat on the back, each apple pie adds up. And here we see that Mick's accomplishments added up to his not only having the distinguishing honor of becoming an Eagle Scout but somehow he has shared that feat with all of us. So, thanks Mick for the eagle in you bringing out the eaglets in all of us.
Anyway, that's how my memory of the day feels to me. Congratulations to Mick and to everyone who loves Mick. Thank you Kim and Jon for including everyone. You are both so good at that. Love, love, love,
S.T.

How awesome was Mick's court of honor! Those who were there will definitely know what I am talking about. My computer is out in the living room so I am laying (lying?) in bed blogging from my phone so I will keep it short and sweet. But there are two " important" pieces of info I just had to share before I get a chance to write more. First Popsugar now has a mobile app (lo you must get this!). It is awesome! Second, on popsugar there are more pics of suri in her heels again! Little diva! Good night darlings.

How cute is this new moon gear from Hot Topic?? I like it because it doesn't scream "Look at me, I am a Twi-hard!" (that's what they call twilight super fans!) It is subtle and cool. The jacket is supposed to be Bella's and the the two baseball tee's are cute. One is the quilluete symbol and the other is the Cullen coat of arms. All from Hot Topic.

It is is 630am and I am up up up! Why you ask? Well I was supposed to work today, but they didn't need me, not enough babies to take care of. Which is sad, yes, but still no one can ever complain about a day off and neither will I! So I get the call at 5 am and can't really go back to sleep because I have to pee. So I do get up and a pee and then settle back in bed just in time for Jake to get up. Well, being the good wife that I am I decide to get up and make him breakfast, and help him with the dogs. So we have some eggs and turkey sausage and coffee. It was yummy, and I sat outside with dogs for awhile and it was nice, but kind of drizzly. So I came back in and saw that Jake left his lunch and coffee on the counter. Dangit, doesn't that just make you so mad? Well it makes me even madder, because I made that lunch times two (one for me, ya know) last night before bed and now both are useless. Well of course, I can eat one of them today, but Jake's will probably go wasted, although I might steal the chicken off of his salad, so that is one positive outcome! Oh my mercy. So now I've settled down on the couch, still working on my coffee and blogging and excited about another day at home. Oh, another sad thing is, I took of my nail polis last night in preparation for going to work today (you technically aren't supposed to wear nail polish, but some people bend the rules, I don't feel like I am to that point yet, still being the newby!) I got this awesome dark pinky color from Viva (holler!) it is of course OPI and part of the Espana collection.

Why does Maverick always want the toy that Lila is playing with? And she, of course, lets him take it, but then she starts chewing on other things like my rug in the kitchen (although it has the fringe-y stuff around the edges, which look a lot like her toy, so I guess I can't really blame her). And the thing is, he doesn't really want to play with it, he just wants to have it. Typical of siblings I guess!!

I am hoping to go and buy the new Paramore cd today. Paramore is awesome. Stevie and I went to see them with No Doubt and I have loved them for a long time. Their first cd came out a few years ago, and they are from good old Franklin, TN. This is their third cd. What I really love about them is their lead singer, Hayley Williams. First off, I love that she is a female in a rock band, I also love that she is like 20! Actually I think everyone in the band is less than 22 or 23 years old. How cool is that! I think think it's pretty cool. Anyway, I have a feeling that today is going to be a long productive day. Which is good. I have laundry to do, grocery shopping, thins of that sort, and then I will have it all done and I will be able to enjoy the weekend.

I think this weekend we are going to get a new fireplace cover (good bye yellow gold-barf). I need to get rid of all my dead tomato plants in the backyard, as well as, pick up all the walnuts (and probably dog poo--if I get really motivated). We'll also probably work on organizing the garage, and detailing Jake's new truck. Did I tell you Jake got a truck? He actually didn't end up getting the one from the dealership that they let us drive home and keep for the weekend. His dad and uncle needed new trucks for work so Jake just bought his dad's old truck off of him! Perfect, right! He liked that idea much better because he knows the truck has been taken care of, has only had one owner and it is black and super nice. So now, you can see Jake around town driving a black Chevy Avalanche. I think it is an '05, but I can't be sure. Oh, the best part is! Now we can probably get the two old toilets out of our backyard! yes! We have two toilets in our backyard, just like the rednecks. I dunno, I guess it could be fun at the housewarming party to go bobbing for turds or something (i literally saw this on "my big redneck wedding). The turds, of course, aren't really turds, but like chocolate candy bars or something. Anyway, they have been in our backyard since we replaced the toilets in the house, which was practically the first thing we did when we moved in over a month ago!

haha I just realized that I wrote the title "good morningz" with a "z". O my is it early or what. I will not change it though, because it is either funny or cute, I'm not sure which. And the "z" just reminded me of The Wizard of Oz, which has just been released on Blu-ray! Wow, how far we've come since the first "technicolor" picture! haha. Ok this is getting long and probably boring. I'll check back in later!! Happy Friday!

This was my fav game as a kiddo! I loooved it. Me and Emily McHugh would play it none stop. It is a lot like Clue. You have to try and kill off your opponents! Fun and cryptic.

Lila got her first sweater today!!

Here she is now...

Why, Cybil, we were just talking about you! Looking good girl!

I meant to post a pic of Cybil Shepard and instead I got Drowsy. She was in my pic list from when I was talking about vintage toys, I was going to talk about my drowsy doll. But then didn't. She say's "I'm tired" Anyway, here she is. Drowsy is hard to stop.

Cybil Shepard

She was on Eastwick last night. She played an old witch and she did such a good job. That's all, I'm done now.

Romijn

TV

CougarTown was a lot better last night. And Eastwick was not so bad. I love Rebbecca Romaine or however you spell it. She reminds me of BooBoo. And I think she is such a good actress. Really underrated. That's really all I wanted to say.
