mom's house

had a great dinner party at moms house. john and i went over about 4:00 cooked meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans while mom directed my every move. (go figure) Celia, Howy, Pickles, me, John and Mom had cocktails and had a little birthday party for Celia. It was so much fun. Conner and Mikey stopped in to take care of her trash. A delicioud evening.

Ellen

I looove Ellen. Anyway, I watched her show from Wednesday and her comedy skit in the beginning is hilarious, enlightening and it brings good news! Starbucks is making an even larger size! Like we need it. But it inspires ellen to talk about consumerism and how one day we will be able to block out the sun with our stomachs. Anyway she talks about Taco Bell's fourthmeal and whatnot, but you should watch it it is funny. And then she found an amazing way for us to do jigsaw puzzles and drive. Anyway, just thought you might enjoy this little diddy.

Hey everybody! Tom has added video to his wbsite you have to check it out because it's super cool. Also, send his link to everyone you know and ask them to share it with their friends. Pioneer Woman might want to say hello to the farmer from Indiana.

Hello My

Fellow Clark Girls!

i feel like i have been neglecting you all! .( so i am blogging! but to tell the truth i have been very very busy and have not been on the computer in like a week. so it is kind of a good feeling knowing i do not rely on this silly thing so much anymore. I am very excited about my trip to see Logann and i think i might even put some of my pics on my flash drive (because it is lil and dosen't take up too much room) and bring it for her to see, but now that i am thinking about it she would be to nice to be like uhh these are bad. haha. but that is okay i will still bring it if i remember. I really hope the weather is Nice Nice Nice. i Could use some sun sun sun!

Today Jamie and Erika wanted to go tanning so i was like okay tori has an account right? so i was being her and it was working out fine! but then, they called me back and asked me my birthday, and i have no clue what year tori was born! except i realize now that 1989 was 20 yrs ago so tori was born 86? anyway, now i am completely over my wanting to go tanning stage, so my skin might be happy with that decision. ya no?

So the epitome of my existence right now is prom as you all may have realized. haha. i just like to keep everyone updated. but anyway. It all seems to be going smoothly. We think we might get a turban to crown the king with haha because the theme is Arabian Nights i thought it was funny... ummm Still no stupid date, but i think Jamie officially decided she isn't going. So now i have no clue what to do! ahhh. Lets see... Oh less then a Month away, and we have no clue about decorations becuase we are hooking up with another school, and they havn't been very good at keeping in contact with us.

Oh i really love my Job. (like the man at Walmart hehe.)

and you have no idea what you are going to say? That's me right now. And that is usually a recipe for complete and utter wierdness. Or sometimes complete and utter nonsense or boringness or emptiness. Emptiness is the worst. nothing, nothing, blah, blah blah. I will tell you a story, a true story, how will that be? Gather round my wonderlings, gather round.

On Saturday there was a memorial service for a beautiful young woman who passed away after a year and a half of living with cancer. Her name was Michelle. She attended my church but I didn't know her very well. She was pretty, tall, thin, around fifty years old. She loved riding horses and she loved being outside. Se had a beautiful smile and a gentle nature. She and her husband who is a sweet, quiet spoken man named Tom had just built a beautiful home in the country. They moved in on a Monday and then on that Thursday she was diagnosed with cancer. There is a creek that runs through their property and they have a potbellied pig named Daisy. I know I said I didn't know her very well, but it's a small church and I've heard about the creek and the pig. I know that the pig will gently eat watermelon rinds from your hand and that Michelle has a little place down by the creek where she would go to meditate.

Tom asked Mike to play a couple of songs at the memorial and Mike was of coarse, honored and said yes. He sang In the Garden and Little Country Church. So, that is why I was there and because, eventhough  I didn't really know Michelle I wanted to be there that day because, somehow I felt like I knew her. Or maybe wished that I did. I am always in the classroom with the Children during Sunday worship so I never got to know her. But I knew who she was. And I prayed for her.

Quaker memorial services are kind of like one of our worship services. Anyone can stand up and speak. On Saturday, I lost count of all the people that stood up and spoke that day, but that part of the memorial lasted for probably an hour. Her brother in law, a surgeon from Pennsylvania spoke first and he was very well spoken. Many people from many walks of life stood and said the most beautiful things about her. Then, a young, petite, hispanic woman began to speak. She said she was Michelle's housekeeper. She said her english wasn't very good and people say she sounds funny but she thinks that we sound funny when we try to speak english so felt that we were all even. She said how nice Tom and Michelle are to work for. And she said that Mr. Tom always tells her that she does a good job and she doesn't know why he says that because she doesn't think she really does that good of a job. She was full of energy and she smiled the entire time. Then she said that when she first met Michelle she knew that she didn't know God and would pray for her while she cleaned her house. And when she found out that she was sick she got out a Bible and showed her in the Bible where it tells her how much God loves her. And then she told her she should not be afraid because as beautiful as her country home was it could never compare to the mansion God has prepared for her in heaven.  It was the most amazing thing. And so unexpected that this young woman from Mexico would be the one that day to really speak her heart so openly and honestly. It was so beautiful.

And so, Michelle did come to our church and talked to our Pastor and started coming to church every Sunday. One Sunday her older sister from Pennsylvania was in town and stood up and told everyone in the church that she really wanted us to take care of her sister for her because she lived so far away. It was really sweet. And then one other Sunday Michelle stood up and told everyone about what a blessing her illness had been in her life. She said it changed her life for the better and she knew things about living and loving, a richness and a truth that she otherwise would have never known.

Michelle's story and life has impacted our little church in a big way. And now that I know that her housekeeper was praying for her the whole time too, I'm even more inspired.

So, that's what I wanted to tell you about. Also, at church that Sunday, the next morning I was downstairs and I could hear everyone singing upstairs and usually you can hardly hear them singing but for some reason everyone was singing their hearts out. When they sang How Great Thou Art our classrom came to a standstill because it was so loud. And that is not an easy song to sing, it's very long. I remember Grandpa Jim Sweney's Pastor told us that was his favoritse song and how he would sing it with all his heart and in his own way. That's what it reminded me of. Conner loves that song and always requests it. James Jobe loved In the Garden. I love all the old timey Hymns. The Gaither's wrote a song called Something Beautiful that I like very much. Abby came to church with us on Sunday and I was so excited to have her there. That's all, I'm done showing you stories for now. (That's what Conner used to say.) Conner and Abby sure do get along well. They make mighty fine cousins.
I'll talk to ya'll later~
Quaker Woman

Had such a greaaaaaat weekend! Friday night we stayed the night at mom and dad's house so Bry could clean up dad's computer for him before they got home! It takes hours to get a computer cleaned up when it hasn't been updated in a while, so I asked Katie and Jayce to come stay the night with us and the kids played and had a good old time, while we got to catch up with Katie. Then we got up Saturday morning and headed out to the flower and patio show to see Boo Boo! It was so much fun, kettle corn and all! Then Boo asked if we could take her friends' daughters home after the show which led us out to South Harbour. On the way back I passed Silly Tally's house and there she was out in the front yard waving at us! So we had to pop in of course to say hello! As Kelly and I stood there, in a chilled state of mind wondering what the rest of the day was to hold (besides the grocery) she asked if Abby wanted to spend the night. We went back and forth saying, "That would be fine, but Conner could stay with us if you wanna go do something".........and Kelly saying, "I really don't think I wanna leave the house tonight so I don't care".........and I said, "Well it doesn't matter to me, we aren't gonna do anything either"..........and Kelly saying, "Whatever you want to do, I'm cool with it".............and I said, "Really doesn't matter to me"...........we finally realized that neither one cared what was to take place that night and so we asked the kids...............they didn't care either..............so Kelly said, "Let's ask Steph, she always makes good choices"................Steph said, "Just have Abby stay the night here, I think she really wants to.".............Then Steph went to get ready for work and Kelly and I stood there for about 10 more minutes deciding what to do until I remembered that my gas light was on! Kelly then finally made the final decision! "Just let Abby stay here til dinner then we can see what we feel like doing then!" I agreed, she started talking about how good Lasgana sounded for dinner and then I started craving it! To make a long story short (wait, this hasn't been really short has it?) I went home, Abby stayed the night at Hammerle's, Bry Ty and me watched Where the Wild Things Are and I got up the next morning and two trays of lasagna for us and for the Haemmerle's. Kelly brought punky home after "Turch" , as Abby used to call church until Conner taught her to pronounce it correctly, and I presented Tally with her lasagna, Conner stayed and played for a while until it was time for dinner and basketball. (taking a breath) And now my kids are bathed, we've read, eaten dinner, and ready to chill! And that was my weekend! Good Day!

Abby

Abby is at my house right now and she is going to spend the night. We just ate dinner and she just made all of us laugh she is so sweet and funny and such a good girl. I think we might be playing the wii soon so we will see what kind of laughs we get out of that.

Hey, all you bloggers, here's some inspiration for you:Deadline.com says Columbia Pictures is developing The Pioneer Woman, a romantic comedy being shaped to star Reese Witherspoon. It's based on ThePioneerWoman.com, a blog by Ree Drummond that details how, on a trip from L.A. to Chicago, she wound up in Oklahoma with the cowboy of her dreams. But what's the blog about? In Ree's words:

I post photos of cows, horses, and my four weird children, and frequently include shots of cowboys wearing chaps.
Drummond has already written a cookbook, and her story, Black Heels to Tractor Wheels, will be published by William Morrow next Valentine's Day.

For Hick

Brings tears to my eyes!!

For Hick

Happy Birthday Hick! I know you are living it up on the cruise and probs won't get a chance to read this (unless you pay the like milly-on dollars they ask you to pay to get wifi on a cruise ship) until after the fact, but none-the-less, here are my 10 most favorite Hick things:
1. She can still do the splits!! (impressive)
2. She's always with her man
3. Her amaaaaazing caramel popcorn
4. She's been everywhere and seen everything
5. Always runs into celebs, and to her it's no big deal
6. She luckier than a pot o' gold on St. Patty's day
7. Totally unselfish, always giving of herself and her things
8. Can sing Broadway tunes, like she wrote them herself
9. Has the best skin tone
10. The world's best boss (which she also passed on to tiffani, who earns the title as well)

Love you Hick! Enjoy your cruise!

So I am a big fan of gwyneth paltrow and she has a pretty cool blog that I think I have posted on here before. Well this week on Goop she talked about NASHVILLE!! Made me so happy that she loves it just as much as I do.

NASHVILLE

I just spent a few months living and working in Nashville, Tennessee which was an incredible experience. As I’m apt to do, I researched, ate, drank, tried, and asked my way around the city ‘til I found the best spots it has to offer. Never have I met such warm people, heard such good music, eaten so much fried chicken...I could go on and on. This week’s letter will cover the music/food and next week's will cover the rest. It's pretty easy to get to if you live in the good ol’ US of A as it’s kind of smack dab in the middle (well, not really, but almost) and is so worth a trip. It's pretty damn great.

______

Pretty sweet!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTY!!

Growing up I absolutely loved to hear when my mom said I reminded her of Hick!! I just thought she was the funniest chic around (and still do!!). She is constantly having fun and doing things for others. Hope you are having so much fun on the cruise!!!!

Love youuuuu

Excitement

Oh my goodness everyone I am anxious and excited all at the same time. I know I have been talking about track a lot lately, but it is a great sport and I love it and I just like to keep you guys updated. Anyway next Thursday is our first track me at home and we are hosting Lawrence and Fishers. Im nervous because High School track is a lot harder then I thought it was going to be and I just have a feeling in High School, track gets competitive because it is a very competitive sport but oh well I usually do get the track meet jitters haha. Anyway moving on today is St. Patricks Day and also my mom and dads anniversary im am sure you guys will hear about that really soon so I won't mention anything, but Bebe took me, Conner, and Steph to Ocharly's it was delish Conner got a steak with fries and a chocolate milkshake and a water and he had 2 rolls man that kid can sure eat but whatever soots him. Stephanie had this amazing looking pasta with steak in it i think and she also had Strawberry lemonda yummm. Bebe had fish with fries and a roll and I had Ocharly's gliders which is 4 little cheeseburgers with a special dressing and fries and a chocolate shake and of course a roll. It was fun hanging wtih Bebe because she is just amazing. I hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day I know I did and it sounds like Tori did to.

Disney Adventures

Well I am 20 years old and still understand why children throw a fit when mom and dad say it is time to leave Disney!! It is suchh a fun place!! However, before I tell you about Disney I will start with our trip to Disney. I am not sure how far of a drive it is from Jacksonville to Orlando because we stopped every 20 minutes because Roman (Matt's 4 year old son) had to pee every time we got back on the interstate from the last potty break!! At one point he starts to cry and goes "Daddy my penis is straight", Matt laughs and tells him to give it some time and it will go down. Possibly the funniest thing I have ever heard a little boy cry about! I have a new respect for all parents and how much patients it takes to raise a child. Not to say that I do not love Matts kiddos, they are adorable but man it takes a lot out of you.

Anywho, Matt got us a super star suit at the Contemporary at Disney! We went to Epcot the first night so we could eat at restaurant with an aquarium and ride the nemo ride! Monday was dedicated to the Magic Kingdom. The kids are so young that we were pretty limited to what we could ride but I forgot how fun the kido rides are! I loved the snow white ride, i love that movie! We went back to the hotel for there nap and then to Epcot to eat dinner in Mexico. We went to Universal Studio on Thuesday so Roman and Kennedy could see Spiderman. Yes both of them are into all the super heros, they both have there own batman, superman, flash, ect. Kennedy doesnt play with barbies.. she plays with superheros!! After Universal Studios we came home. It was so much fun to experience Disney with kids and see how excited they get. The whole time I was reliving past experiences!

Now I am back in Jacksonville for 2 days then to Savannah. I am excited to get back because next semester I am taking Into to Printmaking, Psychology of Group Thinking, and Math (not sure what kind). Not only that but hopefully I will be moving into my own place soon, Tori & Steph comee, and Kevin said he might be paying me a visit with his kids too!! Fun FUn FUn FUn FUNNNN.

ohh and today I went to work with Matt to help out... It was totally like the shot the office (except obviously Matt is not Michael). I am not sure if any of yall watch it but it has quickly become one of my favorite shows. Matt would probably be considered more of the Jim.

Top O the morning to ye lads! It's saint patty's day! Which is also Kelly and Mike's anniversary. What a love those two have. I hope you guys celebrate it right. I sure did. I made Jake and I green eggs and turkey bacon (not ham). I am at work and trying to dress my babies in green. Although I only have one that can wear clothes right now. Anyway my green eggs were delish. We also have green cookies at work. Yummy. It's going to be a lovely day outside but since I am at work it is hard to enjoy it. But my friend Jamie and I are going to to walk to When Eddy Met Salad for lunch. So then we can at least get a little vitamin D. Happy st patty's day!

My day

So today I got up at 6:00 and it was still dark, but I guess I will just have to get used to that. I had some cake for breakfast which I made last night it looked a little deformed because I didn't wait long enough to put the icing on woops!! Then I had school and it was a pretty good day I can't wait to go to the main campus though, even though it looks really big and scary but I am sure I will be just fine. Practice today was kind of exciting it was sunny and warm and the distance runners work out which is the team im on had to run 40 minutes and then meet up at the track by 3:45. When we got there everyone was there boys and girls sprinters and us but the distance boys weren't there but oh well haha. Anyway we ran 200 intervals and then we took off our shoes and we ran 100's across the football field that was fun because we got to take off our shoes and we only had to do it for 8 minutes and then we got our track stuff that we ordered. I got sweatpants and on the left leg at the top they say NHS track and field and then I got the team shirt that has block letters NHS and inside the letters is tie-dye it is pretty cool and we have a quote on the back that say "The Pride you gain is worth the pain" which I think is very true. I then came home and ate some cake haha and I had an apple im not sure what im going to have for dinner but I will figure out soon. Anyways I hope you all have a great week love you all!!!

Lo

I want to hear about Disney world! And maybe some pics?

My vida

This video is a little bit more of a medical look at what I do. This video really shows the types of things I encounter in a day as well as a lot the same equipment. A lot of you ask, and really it hard to explain what I really do at work and I was just looking around on youtube so I thought I would post. But what it boils down to is that I truly love it. I wish I could let you guys shadow me or something, but I guess you would probably be bored, it's not for everyone obviously. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I did, loving on my babies.

What I do

Here is more of an emotional video. I think it is kind of amature and some what graphic but gives you an idea about me and my job.

Alert: Jeff Bridges is on the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly! Stay tuned...

GUESS WHAT

I am going to Disney World tomorrowwww nanananaboooboooo!! I am down in Jacksonville hanging out with the adorable Loux family and we are going to Disney till Tuesday!! I havent been to Disney for a long time and can not wait. I am having a hard time falling asleep actually because I am so excited!! However, I need to try and go to bed since the kiddos wake me up bright and early!!

Hi! I am going to the red carpet gala tonight at the flower and patio show. I am so excited. I also bought this skirt from von maur which is just like the one I have been wanting from Urban Outfitters. So I cannot wait to wear it. Today I got up and went to yoga and then did a spin class. I was sweating it out. Then I swung by von maur. Now I have showered and I just watched the new Lady Gaga music vid. It is for her song "Telephone" which isn't my fav, but still good and it has Beyonce. Well let me just say I liked the "Bad Romance" video better. I think I need to watch this one again, also it is almost 10 minutes long. What is funny though is they drive the truck from Kill Bill. Anyway, if you don't want to be shocked or see something that is out there I would advise against watching it. But I liked. I like to be shocked. And I love the costuming. Anyway, I hope everyone has an amazing weekend. I am going to eat a salad and watch 50 First Dates, it just sounds like a good movie to watch today! Loooooves.

I have nothing to say.

But I will probably be able to ramble on rose forever because I'm tired. I just need, I say need, to post on the blog or else I just can't go on. Here we go dyen.
SO, I got on you tube and watched Big Mike sing his song from last night. He is really something. Kara, however or whatever her name is is about to make me crazy to the max. I have really tried to like her. And I'm still trying. I will always be trying, because, well, I'll just say it. I miss Paula. I do. That's what's wrong with this season. No Paula.
Also, I have to say that my little trip to Chi town was fun and all but, and I mean really fun. Except that now that I've glimpsed behind the scenes of one of those shows it just doesn't hold the same mystique for me. It's so sad. It's like I really don't like that show that was on last season where they reveal the secrets to magic tricks. PLEASE STOP DOING THAT! I am ALL about the illusion! Bring me the illusion my darlings on a silver platter!
Now, that being said. I will now completely contradict myself by saying this. I LOVE BEHIND THE SCENES features on DVD's. I doooooo. Because they give greater meaning to the story. Like, this scene is important because...And this character is all about...(...=blah,blah,blah) And I love the passion of the people making the movies. And I love those big fuzzy microphones that they hang over their heads. I just love movie people. But I don't like TV People. Sorry TV People of the world. I don't want to see behind your scenes. Just movie people.
ANd since all roads lead back to Jeff Bridges, here we go my Mommas, JEFF published a book of photography and it's mostly black and white stuff he shot while making movies. Needless to say, I really would like one of those books, It would look good sittiing next to my Lonesome Dove book.
And, speaking of books, I am very interested in reading Crazy Heart. I guess it's a novel. And I guess I'm gonna have to read it.
DID YOU KNOW that Jeff Bridges is now filming True Grit wit dem Coen Boys? Yes him r. Lawsy to the Mercy and Mother of the Pearl. I cannot wait, I cannot wait. I also have a hankerin' to revisit Fisher King, and the Fabulous Baker Boys and Starman. All those JB movies from the sunny slopes of long ago. Oh and Fearless too. And I could go on further but I think you get the idea. Yeah, I 'm pretty sure you got the idea alright.
Welp. What else we got here floatin' around in this noggin' of mine? Uhmumumummmumum. Hecky Darn. I think the wells finally run dry for this day.  Nope, I was wrong.  I cannot believe I'm going to NYC. I just cannot believe it. It just seems not real to me. Would that be surreal then? I don't use that word because well, everything's surreal to me. I would just walk around saying, surreal all the time. Oh, and I don't like it when people say anal. Who decided it was okay to say that? gross me out the door.
ANd I don't use ironic cuz I can't quite figure out whats ironic and whats not. Is it a coincidence? Is that what ironic is ?Then what's irony? Who knows? It's like a thorn in my side the whole use of irony thing. Oh wait. I learned something so cool today. Did you know that snails are called gastropods which means belly foot.  ANd I think they have teeth on the tongues, rows and rows of little sharp , pointy snail teeth. EWWWWWWW!  Now thats surreal. Thats some surreal shanaynay there.
I stayed after work all week because I am designing a website (mmm hmmm dats right, you heard me.)for church  and so that means I sat in my cube for an extra like whatever, but I was in my cube in my chair in front of my computer for twelve hours today and it's made me a little manic. juts a little though. AT least i wont have to lay in bed and think all these thoughts before I can go to sleep. You wouldn't last a day in my shoes. hahahahaha

Signed, Crazy Train

Also

I once again have the urge to give my hair the lop. But seriously, I have painstakingly been devoted to growing it out the last couple of month because I was sad I lopped it off the last time. Anyway, that is going to be my motivation to keep it right now. Plus, right now it is all one length so not only is it boring, but it probably weighs a ton too. That's the problemo, see, when I am at work it gets in the way and feels heavy but I do not like to wear my hair up if I don't really have to, or it at least takes a while for me to get to that point. I think it all stems from whenever I played sports in HS, I always had my hair up, therefore, now I always want to wear it down (Same thing with sports bras, I hate to wear them now). But I will try to resist the urge since I have worked so hard to grow it and I do get so many compliments. Such a dilemma.

Each day I find two ants in my house and I absolutely hate. They are usually in my bedroom or the guest bathroom. eww. I love spring but don't like that insects come back to life. whatever shall i do??

As in charge as Mo'Nique was backstage, best actor Oscar winner Jeff Bridges was just that laid-back. Present, alert but definitely the essence of the Dude -- even in talking about his career.
"Well, you know, [it's been] up and downs, strikes and gutters, man," Bridges said, carrying Champagne rather than a White Russian. "That's about it."
But now that he's officially an achiever, Bridges revealed the secret of his success: his wife. "She holds that kite string that lets me go -- woo -- way out there. And I love coming home. She pointed out the other day we've been apart 11 of the last 14 months, so I was -- woo -- really far out there.
"But my wife and my girls -- I guess the girls are the tail on the kite that kind of keeps me centered like that. My girls, my darlings."
As grounded as Bridges seems, he said he was able to identify with his "Crazy Heart" character, Bad Blake, most in terms of music. "I've been writing and playing music since I was a kid, and I'm sure that's what happened to Bad."
So does that mean we'll be seeing more music from the actor?
"I don't know about forming a country band; it sounds like a good idea, maybe," said Bridges.
Later, when asked what he would do with his "newfound power" after winning, he said: "Yeah, that's uh ... certainly, the music. That's gonna bloom for me. That's something I've been doing for a long time, and this is going to help me continue that.
"But there's upsides and downsides of fame -- downsides, you lose some of your anonymity, and for an actor that's kind of tough. But the upside is that hopefully this award will help bring peace and understanding and prosperity to our world. No, really, movies are more than just entertainment. They're connecting us. And music is the same way."
And at the very least?
"I hope a lot of people are going to see 'Crazy Heart' because of this."

Flop Sweat

Fear of bombing on stage.

Crazy Heart BABY!!!!!!!!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeff Bridges did it! And he was so happy even though he tried to play it cool. Such a pro. I was so happy he won as you can imagine. Michelle Pfeiffers intro was sweet. Man! I congratulated him on his blog. jeffbridges, com it's a very cool websight. You should check it out. Sandra Bullocks speech was really good. What a great night. Made my weekend getting to hang out with everyone tonight. I'd like to thank the Academy for airing the show tonight. Jon for your lighting expertise. King's Garden for catering tonights festivities. Kim for letting me come over and invade her space. My Children for their support Lyla, for just being there. Tori, for the color commentary. Jake for telling me that the battery on an I Pad will last 10 hours and oh how I hope I get to use that knowledge at work tomorrow in casual convo. Ann and Will for believing in me! I love you all so much, more than words can tell! Muuuahhh! I havn't been this excited since Dances With Wolves won best picture! Life is good!

ps- this really has nothing to do with anything but note to Tiffani, I have been getting so many compliments on my hair (I actually get these often, but even more so lately for some reason). Everyone is ohhhing and awwwing over my hair. yes, they think it looks marvelous darling and it is all thanks to you. MUAH! You are a color genius! I think it must be because you have done blonde yourself for so long you know how to make it look FAB! so THANKS!

Alice

Well me, Jake and Stevie ventured out this morning to go see Alice in Wonderland in 3D. It was quite fun. First off, I just love getting to wear 3D glasses. I also can't think of anything better than being squeezed between two of my favorite peeps watching one of my fav actors in a film by one of my fav directors. Priceless. Plus, who can beat a popcorn, mr. pibb and milk dud breakfast on a Saturday morning(which I now regret--- but thats ok--- who cares about calories)! Anyway, the movie was good. I just loved watching Johnny act, and Helena Bohnam Carter did amazing too, her head was so large. It is even more amazing to think that they did all of this acting in front of green screens, which I am imagine it is hard to get into the character when its just you and a green screen. Oh, the other great thing is that if you go to the AMC in Castleton before noon the movies are only 5$ on the weekends. So totes worth it. Plus we had the best seats. So no complaints here.

Let's see what else did we do today? Right, we came back home and Jake grilled out some what I thought were brawts but were really italian sausages that I bought from traders joes along with green & red bell peppers and onions. It was all quite delish and I think Jake was happy to no longer have his grill covered in a foot of snow. Then Stevie headed home since she had to work. I made shrimp scampi for dinner and I started to read a new book. Plus I had a really good glass of wine. Oh! I also went on a walk! Yes! It was perfect. I walked Lila, while Jake walked Mav (when I asked him which dog he wanted to walk he looked at me like I was mad...). Anyway it was gorgeous and we passed other neighbors, its like the world is alive again now that the sun is shining. Its glorious.

And tomorrow, we shall watch the Oscars!! I think I'm going to mom and dads so I may not be giving a moment by moment fashion review, but have no worries, I will post about it soon.

I don't know when they will start or what we are going to eat...but Kelly and I have big plans to watch the Academy Awards this Sunday on the big screen TV. Come one, come all - we invite you all to join us. I will be at the Fairgrounds until 5pm, come over anytime after 6!!

Dang it.

JD

I am on a bit of a JD kick right now. But this is inspired by the entertainment weekly article I just read about him and Tim Burton. I also looove Tim Burton. Anyway the EW article, with Johnny on the cover, is so amazing. Like literally one of the top 10 EW articles I have read. It is so good, you must read it. He is just so humble and kind. And then as I was getting ready to write this post I saw another article about Johnny in People magazine and it also amazing. It must not the be article writers, it must be Johnny himself. Anyway, I shall post it here. He kinda sounds like Uncle Tom in this article. I can just imagine Johnny basking in the sun in the South of France and checking to see if his flowers and veggies have grown. Here you go:

He's been The Mad Hatter, Edward Scissorhands and Captain Jack Sparrow – and yet he dreams of cultivating a premium vino.

In a cover interview with French magazine VSD, on newsstands Thursday, Johnny Depp opens up in a rare discussion of his personal life, including a secret desire "to make wine. But I'll keep it for myself before daring to sell it commercially."

A longtime resident of Plan-de-la-Tour in southern France, Depp says, "in the Var where I live, it's very interesting. [The region is] notable for rosé and it's very good, though I prefer red myself."

Currently filming The Tourist in Venice with Angelina Jolie, Depp says living in France with longtime partner Vanessa Paradis and their two children, Lily-Rose, 10, and Jack, 7, "has given me everything. A marvelous family and also an equilibrium which I missed enormously.

"With Vanessa and the kids, we live in a sort of little village in the south and I have the impression of being in paradise," he continues. "It's a property of about 30 acres and you know what I do there? Absolutely nothing."

PEOPLE's current Sexiest Man Alive also admits, "there are times when I don't leave the property for three months at a time."

Depp says his lifestyle is a "truly simple existence" that's like "being on another planet. When I wake up I go look at my garden. I go see if my vegetables are growing, if certain flowers have started to bloom."

He also confesses that "everything revolves around" his children. "Where will we go for a walk? Should we eat at the house with them or maybe go for a picnic? These are the problems we face there," he says.

ps- I want some of his wine... yummy.

Here is to all of my wonderful family thanks you for making my big day fabulous!!!!!!! I made it home and had flowers waiting for me from one of the midshipmen, the day keeps getting better and better. Short of having Gordon, Hunter and Logann waiting for me when I got home I dont know how I could have improved on this perfect day. I Love you all so much!!!!

HAPPPY BIRTHDAY KIKI CLARK

I have to give my mom major props. She is 59 and manages to smile everyday no matter what is going on. She has such an optimistic view and I have no clue what I would do with out her. I am so jealous yall got to celebrate her birthday with you!!!

Happppy Birthday mom love youu

Because I love yall

Tori you couldnt find it online because it is only up for 72 hours. For the record, I was going to smile because I knew it would be online but he took the picture before I had a chance too. Also, I am not that ghostly!! They obviously do not use a high quality camera or proper lighting to take these. Enjoy:

Oh to be so beautiful, gracious and loving at young old age of 59!! Kiki is nothing short of amazing and I'm so glad I got to spend some time with her on her Birthday, I must say that my suggestion of PF Chang was sheer genius. I sometimes forget just how good it is. But I think it was the company I enjoyed the most (why didn't someone take a group picture?) Momma, Kiki, Me, Ann, Steph, Tiff. Talk of weddings and prom dresses, and some furious food sharing right down to the 4 desserts we sampled. I'm just going to say coconut ice cream...heavenly! Ann got the most perfect fortune that basically said "beauty is in the simple" and Mom got the worst when her cookie had no fortune in it what so ever...Yikes!
As if a perfect birthday lunch wasn't enough, the evening of Bingo was a Memory Maker. Thank you Kiki for humoring us. That Moose Lodge hot dog was not what you had in mind for a birthday dinner, but you must admit they did give you a fancy glass with your dirty martini's for the occasion. It's my fault I suggested that Tori and Jake get dinner before Bingoing sooo they missed Bingo Lesson 101. Poor Jake missed his big $50 win on the second game and then had to put up with the Bebe finger pointing for the rest of the night. You're a good sport Jake. Was anyone else amazed with the speed that Mother managed to spend money, pull tabs, loose money, drink a beer, grumble about the caller, and dob, all without missing anything on our cards? She is happy holding court among her People...long live the Bingo Queen!!! Thank you to my children for joining us - it meant a lot to all us old folks. I might recommend a quick chemo treatment to ward off the second hand smoke. Thank you Kiki for spending half of your birthday in the car, but we sure loved having you here!!

Bingo

Well last night I had my first ever Bingo experience. The night definitely started off with a bang as Jake missed a bingo and missed out on 50 bucks. Bebe was PISSED. She spent the rest of the night chiding us all (all in good fun I am sure) and double checking all our boards, all the while playing all these side games, something about peckers and mountys... I have no clue. Anyway, we saw all the finest of noblesville, including a few shady old classmates and an old soccer coach. I also inhaled a sufficient amount of secondhand smoke to last me a lifetime. I had to pop an excederin. But I can say I actually had fun and I can mark it off my bucket list (kiki's suggestion). It was just what I expected... an very INTERESTING experience.

Pamela Anderson; Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco; All My Children’s Aiden Turner; ESPN reporter Erin Andrews; Shannen Doherty; former astronaut Buzz Aldrin (who just so happens to be 80); Reno 911’s Niecy Nash; Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat Dolls fame; Olympic gold medal-winning skater Evan Lysacek; and good ol’ Kate Gosselin.
And joining them? None other than most recent Bachelor Jake Pavelka!!!

HELLLLLO

Hellllo ladies,

Tori you inspired me. I havent posted anything in foreverrrr. SO this is whats going on:

Yesterday I watched the hockey game and was very sad to see America lose! They played so well though. After that a big group of us went out to the crab shack on tybee island (tori and steph we must go there, yummy seafood) and then after our belly's were full we went to the beach to put our toes in the ocean. My friend was flying in from a weekend vacation so I went to pick her up at the ariport and who did I stand by for 15 minutes waiting on her arrival? The queen of butter herself... Paula Deen! She was standing there with her husband smoking a cigarette!

I have started looking around for a place to live for next year! I found this adorable one bedroom that is two blocks down from the library that I am really interested in. The lease starts in April so if I get it then Tori and Steph can help me decorate!! I keep thinking of stuff we have to do when they get here like Tybee Island (beach), maybe Paula Deens restaurant: Lady & Sons?, River street/ Broughton shopping, A day at the park, and so so so much more.

I wasnt sure if I should post my mug shot on here. Its no paris hilton or Khloe Kardashian mug shot but its still a pretty funny picture. I found out yesterday that they have a weekly magazine with everyones mug shots from the week, I am searching for a copy that i can keep as a reminder of people I dont want to be around ever again!! However, that is all i am saying about that... have to save the stories for Clark girls weekend in December.

I hope yall have so much fun with CCR celebrating her birthday! She needs to have some fun and let loose. Love yalllllll!

xxxx

So here I go. Jake and I had a relaxing weekend around the house. Again, we put off putting the finishing touches on the kitchen, but who needs them? ;) I made spinach and feta cheese omelets for breakfast which were yummy and then we decided to embark on a movie marathon. First we started out with "Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog" which is a cult hit starring the handsome Neil Patrick Harris. It is actually a short film, but it was very good and very funny and very quirky, just the way I like it. We ordered Papa John's for lunch which was delicious and we munched on that as we went on to watch "The Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy", "My Best Friend's Girl" and "Clerks" and "Clerks 2". I have no idea who we came up with these random selections, but ieach was good to watch. I also made pork chops, wild rice and a salad for dinner, so I did manage to get off the couch for at least an hour probably. Sunday morning came along and I got to bridesmaid dress shopping with Ann. It was such fun and we went to MacAllister's for lunch before which was delish. I was the dress model and which immediately made me regret not having a tan, but not biggie. We actually settled on an amazing dress, which is now ordered and paid for. How perfect. Then Jake and I headed over to mom and dads for dinner with the Davis'. It was amazingly good, with garlic bread, salad, some spinach and mushroom concoction and lasagna. I was stuffed, but in a good way. That was also when I got convinced to give Bingo a try. yes, I said Bingo. I am pretty sure I have been talked into going to Bingo tonight with mom, Kiki and Bebe. We'll see how that goes, but I have no doubt that it will be entertaining.

Anyway, this morning I finally drug myself to the gym after the weekend off. I did a quick cardio warm-up on the elliptical and then went to my yoga class. I went to the intermediate class today and it was soo good. Just the right amount of challenge. As much as it takes a ton of motivation for me to get to the gym I usually feel pretty good when I leave. I guess its just the getting there part. I usually feel the best after yoga. Anyway, it is my goal today to finish my Nicholas Sparks book I've been reading since January. Well, I'm off to make myself a quesadilla for lunch. I hope this blog has inspired others to post something..............
