Idol Chat

Well ladies, I am once again satisfied with the results of tonite's Idol performances. I was def loving Adam Lambert's totally awesome Rolling Stones rock sesh. I loved it bc he def brought in his musical theater background bc it def had a showtunesy feel. Loved it. I was also happy to see those other two peeps go through, the young girl and guy. I hadn't really seen much of them up to this point, so it was kinda like seeing new peeps! That is a bad thing about all the expose's they do on peeps, bc some get absolutely no screen time! The young girl, Allison, was really good though and she could really rock. She def has a kelly clarkson look. And ofcourse I loved Kris's song bc "man in the mirror" has always been my fav MJ son. And I am thankingGod that norman gentle did not survive another week, hopefully he doesn't make it back in in the wildcard round! EEK! Still rooting for Gokey!

Josh and Diane at the Oscars

I would like to sit at their table I think. Maybe Danny Glover could sit at our table too. Kevin Klein and Phoebe Cates. Robert Downey Junior and his wife. Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn. Kate Winslet and her Dad and Sam Mendez. Brad and Angelina. How does that sound. It's a big table. Okay, Meryl Streep and her daughter and Hugh Jackman and his Dad.

Logieeee?

Logann,
When you go to work for Mattel will you make Clark Girl DOLLS?
Pleeeeaseeee.
I can hear you saying yes to me.
K,I want little wires hidden in my long hair so you can curl it with a plastic curling iron.
I would also like birkenstocks and that dress I found on line with the dove on it. And a shawl. Ohh, maybe not birks cuz I want barbie feet not Ken feet. Okay, I want carmel color boots with a nice heel. And a purse with maybe some fringe.(long strap)
I also want an easel and paint brush and pallatte. I want an i pod and some books for my accessories. Maybe a picninc basket and a blanket, like an indian blanket and a frisbee. Okay Logann? Can I have some turquoise jewelry too? Maybe silver hoop earrings. Thanks Logann, I can't wait!
And her name will be KELLY.

It's about MEEEEE and I don't care who knows it! So, I am starting a new lifestyle approach! I am going to eliminate sugar from my diet. And yeast. I may occasionaly eat a bowl of cereal that has some sugar in the ingredients or I may have a sandwich every once in a while but I won't be eating oreos and donuts and such or crescent rolls or french bread, or drinking coca cola. Here's why. I don't feel good and I'm tired and I feel poofy. I'm hoping this will make me feel better. I will let you know. Yes I will. You know I will. First of all, I usually get hungry for lunch around 10:30 and now I don't eat lunch until around 1:30. Big difference. I have on a pair of size 12 jeans, but it looks like I have on a life preserver under my shirt if you can imagine it. Sugar makes me feel bad and I am saying NO to it!

Next Week is Country Week! Can I get a Yee Haw?
Monday 8:00 Fox and Hound,Carmel. He will be the fourth singer.

update

Well ladies its a lovely day down here in Savannah, Ga. It feels about 70ish outside which is perfect weather for our fitness practice in a hour, yuckk. I am currently working on a optical painting of barbies face and can not wait to hang it in my office when I get my job for them :).  Today at breakfast I saw a flyer for a paid internship at Disney and I am totally going to apply! You go for like a month in the summer and they pay for your stay and pay you to work, how fabulous does that sound?? Even though I am not big of the idea of being away from home any more then I have to be.  My parents are coming down this weekend to visit there favorite daughter and to celebrate there birthdays! 59 and 58... I cant believe it.  I have a scrimmage in Jacksonville, Fl against University of Jacksonville on Saturday so my parents will get to see Matt and his family.  My roommate Gabby has Staff! So I have been doing my best to stay clean and away from her so I dont get it.  I have also been wrestling with what I am going to do with my life?!? Major wise I just cant fully decide.. Advertising with a minor in photography, Fashion marketing and management with a minor in advertising, Visual communications with a minor in photography...AHH so many choices.  Even though I think I have dropped the fashion one cause that limits me at barbie (not that I am planning my whole life around that).  That is about all the news I have for yall.

love yall

A weekend in pictures VOL I

Round 2 Pics

Results have not yet been posted but here are some pictures of Minnie the Moocher,Shirley & Shoulda been a cowboy,Mike. Mike told everyone in the crowd that he loved them. I hope it's true and that he wasn't just saying that. It probably is true. I will ask him when I talk to him next. Sometimes he says funny things when He's got that microphone in his hand. Like stupid things he would normally never say. Like "I love Ya'll. And I'm thinking to myself. Does he pre plan these things or do they just come out. He probably thinks of the idea but then the words have a life of their own. It's borderline horrifying and hysterical. Living on the edge. What an ever lovin' goof ball! He has a new dance style that he broke out on stage too that is pretty amazing. Once again, can't tell if this is rehearsed or organic and once again, I'm thinkin' you can't make this stuff up. It must just happen....

Meet Shirley

The Dark Horse......
Shirley sang,At Last, last week and this week sang,Minnie the Moocher. Everyone loves her and she is quite the performer. And she brings her A game every time. Mike sang, I should have been a cowboy by Toby Keith. He did a great job. I wish everyone could see him perform because it's awesomely entertaining. The whole night is pretty hysterical. Everyone is so passionate and unique. I will let you know when I find out if Mike makes it to the next round. And post more pic's when available.

If you scroll down 5 posts you will see the video of Hugh Jackman giving Barbara Walters a lap dance. I don't know what to say. He is unabashed, to use Tori's word. She asked for it. Oh did she ever ask for it. Naughty Barbara!

BEautiful

I think she just looks beautiful here and so young!

loved singing along!

THE AWARDS

I have to say that Kate Winslet is exquisite! I love her! And her dad's whistle was adorable! Reminded me of what would've happened if I'd just gotten that Oscar! And my fathers whistle would have been heard as well!

Hated Reese's dress girls! Sorry! And the eyeshadow was way too heavy and the hair was.......nothing to write about! Love her, not impressed by her presentation!

I am with Lo on the whole Angelina/Brad situation. Those poor kids having both parents up for best actor/actress. Are you kidding me? Can anyone say, "show me the money!"

And as always I still think Meryl Streep is a classy woman! Even if she didn't win, she's still a legend!

And I have to say that I really enjoyed the music that was performed for the winning movie! It was eerie yet enticing!

Off to the dentist! And a day of errands! Love to all!..............

Wow! Hugh Jackman totally rocked the opening number! Hilarious! LMAO!

Well Ladies! That wraps up the red-carpet... now onto the awards. I have no doubt Slumdog Millionare will win best pic, although I def loves The Curious Case...

I am sure I will find more pics to chat about.

Not so sure about the hair or dress, but the makeup is right on! Drop dead gorgeous. She is so humble and extraordinary-- and once again-- love the british accent. The dress really is pretty, just not "WOW!"

Don't need much commentary for this. I know Lo is still against Brad & Angelina (as a duo) but c'mon you cannot deny the natural beauty.

Taraji

An absolute beauty. I love this dress & I love her personality bc it is just as beautiful. I mean she has it all going on, the hair is perfect!

jennifer gray showed up. Rando-- right? She is soo unrecognizable with the nose job though. I will be curious to find out why she showed up. Looks good though-- although I'd rather see her do some Dirty Dancing.

Meryl looks pretty too. She actually had a good dress this year.

Robert Pattinson (aka edward cullen from Twilight) was def the man of the night. sooo adorable & that british accent! And I did not get a chance to see Slumdog Millionaire, but I have no doubt it will win tonite. And here is the actess Frieda, who is an absolute beauty. I am not so sure about her dress, but her face is too elegant not to post. And of course, my little Heidi, who is totally fashin forward in her origami inspired dress. I love the "up to there" slit. I plan on posting more. I was really loving Taraji P. Henson's dress. She was in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and she is absolutely stunning. I will post a pic when I find it, but the dress is def my fav so far!

aww and how cute were the slumdog millionaire kids! soo presh! btw- i was watching the E! redcarpet, so we may have seen some diff things.

Weekends!

I absolutely love the weekend. What I love the most about it is the slow-pace. Plus, on the weekends I try to put everything aside, so Jake and I can just hang out, worry-free. Last night, he did convince me to run up to the liquor store (& i did decide I should put a bra on), only because he agreed to take me to Bed Bath & Beyond so I could get a new sponge for my dishes (hahaha- i know i know - old lady). Anyway, we came back home and sat around drinking & listening to some music. I tried a little dancing with Mav, but I mostly took the main stage solo, using the remote as my mic to sing some Whitney (I even tried "I wanna dance with somebody" but it didnt prove to encourage anyone). For some reason, I guess he didn't have enough liquor in him yet, Jake did not join me, but he did have fun laughing at me. Oh, and I discovered Mango Jack, which is mango rum! I used it to make a strawberry daquiri which was delish! I called it a manberry daquiri or stango, I'm not sure which will stick yet.

This morning we slept in and headed to Publix (a sunday morning ritual). We have plans to make some delicious chili for dinner. We also finally got to eat at a new Chinese Restaurant that opened right next to Publix, less than a mile from our house. So we got some chinese take-out and it passed the test. Jake said that the mexican restaurant we normally go to is going to have a run for its money. Now I am just sitting here blogging, with a belly full of Chinese, while Jake is working on making a rustic italian loaf in the bread machine. We'll probably wind up watching a movie this afternoon. So perfect. What is it that is so special about the weekends? I mean, we are doing nothing really, but each moment seems special. Plus I have on the perfect weekend attire, my fav jeans, a button-up flannel (casual yet classic) and air-dryed hair (wavy--not straight-- more natural!) and of course uggs!

I want to hear all about everyone's weekend rituals. The only thing that would make my weekend any better would be a walk in the neighborhood or park with Mavy, which we just might do! Loove it. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend with their loved ones as much as me.

ohhh--- plus we have the oscars tonite! can't wait to chat about it.

Congratulations to Nicole Richie & Joel Madden! Nic is expecting again, so little Harlow is going to be a big sister. I love this pic of them, Nic def has the casual cool outfit down & I need that scarf. And how cute is Harlow in her purple hoodie?

Another OMG

The hair has been cut!!!!!!! Sorry tori, got your blog a few too late! And it's adorable. But the new shocker is that she made a deal with ME! She said she'd cut it off if I let her get her ears peirced tomorrow! A picture will be posted tomorrow! Not sure what it will be! I'm a little in shock right now!

OMG OMG!

CUTENESS OVERLOAD!

-the photo of will, mom and mick was the closest I could come to a photo of just will and mom! And i scoured my pics all the way back to '04! I guess we will have to settle for one with mick in it too!

Well Saturday at the Haley's sounds great! Unfortunately mine was spent at the hospital, but now I am back home with my hubby, who is trying to convince me to go to the liquor store with him but I am already in my pajamas with wet hair & no bra! I think I am perfectly ready for sitting on the couch and watching a movie!

Abby Poll

I definitely am a fan of the long hair! Abby has worked so hard to grow it out & it is precious. Abby, you are beautiful no matter what! But just remember, your favorite cousin tori has long hair, although since I am saying this, I may no long be your mom's favorite cousin! Maybe a compromise and just an inch off the ends?? Love you!

Abby's grandma says Abby can do whatever Abby wants to do, but Shealee says that she should cut her hair.

Abby Poll

i am taking a poll and i need your response a.s.a.p.! abby is still trying to grow her hair out for the contest and won't let me even trim it! it has gotten so long that the tangles are a mess and she cries when i try to brush it! she rarely lets me put it in a ponytail so by the end of the day she looks like a little WT kid! please help me convince her to cut her hair to the darling short cut she used to have! it is so her and i am tired of dealing with the birds nest. but she needs to hear the girls say that it is ok! plzzzzzzzzzzzz i beg you to post a "cut your hair Abby" response! she'll listen to you guys!

Reviews

Hi guys, so I've recently bought some cd's and I thought I would provide a review!

1. Joshua Radin: Simple Times- This is a great cd. I thought Kelly would especially love it bc it is very mellow and happy, similar to Jack Johnson.

2. Lily Allen:Its not you, Its me: This cd is a great sophomore album for lily. It is my favvity fav British Pop. This album is surprisingly a little toned down from her first album, but it stays true to her quirky, unabashed style. I love it bc it is so happy and you will be singing along, not really thinking about the words and then you go "OH! Did she just say that!?" So fun!

Enjoy your day!

The largest cell in the human body is the female ovum, or egg cell. It is about 1/180 inch in diameter. The smallest cell in the human body is the male sperm. It takes about 175,000 sperm cells to weigh as much as a single egg cell. Hence, even in the beginning, women have more substance than men.

Well my little lovelies I guess my birthday is over. I got pulled over today for running a stop sign (doh!) and I will admit, I was an idiot, because I kinda also ran the one before it and I was just thinking to myself: "I need to be careful or I am going to get a ticket". Sometimes karma works awfully fast! So anyway, that put quite a damper on my day, which I tried to remedy with some shopping, which only helped a little bit. But I did get the cute one-shoulder top from american eagle that I showed you guys. Anyway, I am sitting here, writhing with guilt waiting for Jake to come home so I can break the news. Wish me luck!

ps-- I am not the first Clark to recently get a ticket.... our little stevie-lynn got one too for running a light-- i hope she didn't learn that from me :)

HILARIOUS!!

So I am spending a little part of my afternoon watching the Ellen DeGeneres Show (which I love) and I am sitting here dying laughing. Ellen always has members of her audience play a game for a give-away and today they were playing a new game that I absolutely cannot wait to try! So here it is:

You put a tennis ball in the end of a pair of stockings. Two people put a separate stocking over their head with the tennis ball at the end. Then, you and your partner spin around and around and get your balls tangled up and try to pull the other person's stocking of their head! It was soo funny to watch this mom & daughter do it on the show & i think half of the comedy is just the sheer stupidity of swinging a tennis ball around with a stocking over your head. There is no video up on youtube yet, but I will keep an eye out. I imagine the game (called "twisted balls" btw) being immensely fun after a few drinks.

Any Ideas?

Mike needs to pick out songs for the American Icon contest:
Here are the categories-

1-80's Song

The year my life changed

Mike invited Linda, Ernie, Stevie, Me and Katarina over for dinner one night at his home in Pine Knoll. He had just moved in and he wanted to have us over for hamburgers. But he didn't have a grill, I guess. Linda told him to just put them under the broiler. Well, he damn near burned the house down. The fire alarm was wailing and it was smoky and funny. I thought that there might be something about him that I liked that night. The next night he called me and we talked on the phone for the longest time. We just seemed to get a long. Even though we seemed so different from each other, we really wern't. I was really happy when I was with Mike. He made me feel safe and he made me laugh. That was eight years ago. If you ask me, Marriage is a miracle sent straight from God. How else could it work? I think our children are lucky to have parents who love each other and get along so well. Sometimes we don't have enough money or they have to make their own dinner or we make them do all the chores, but those things aren't so bad. We are lucky it's worked so far with each of us bringing a child into the marriage and then having Conner. I love our home in South Harbour. I especially love the fact that I've lived there for eight years. Mike and I hit the ground running when we made this little family of ours. Just like the song he wrote for me,"Like a ready made family just sittin' on the shelf, don't think I've ever had such fun." Before I met Mike I said a prayer and asked God to send Me a Man who would treat me the way My Grandpa Jim treated Grandma Essie." When I found out that Mike shared Grandpa's birthday I honestly thought I might pass out. Maybe it's a coincidence. But what's not a coincedence is that He tells Me that he loves me every day. And he shows Me that He loves me every day. He's got a big heart and He loves to laugh. He changed My life when I met him. I know God made him especially for me. Life's a funny thing ya know. It's kind of like a box of chocolates, sometimes, if you're lucky.

Jerome Robbins

Last night on American Masters, (which is one of my fave shows on PBS along with FRONTLINE, This Old House, Antique Road Show, Mister Rogers, etc.) I'll begin again. Last night on American Masters they featured Jerome Robbins. Here he is with Michael Baryshnikov. He was a talented dancer and choreographer. Maybe you've seen his work? He did The King and I, West Side Story, Gypsy & Fiddler on the Roof. He also worked extensively in Ballet. It was so good. Hick, I thought of you the whole time. Every week they have another fascinating person. This man was a genius.

Milla Javidovich

I have no idea how to spell her name. I like this hair cut. But, I think I'm growing mine out long so I can wear that hippie dress with a long braid. And Birky clogs. The flannel ones.
