Hi Chickadees! Well I think this weekend can be established a success. Friday evening everyone arrived safely! We even got to spend some time with Kevin and Pam Cunningham because they were leaving Katy and Jake there for the weekend to celebrate their anniversary. And of course, the star of the night was Hunter Lane, who arrived unannounced, but I will let Kiki got into the deets about that! It was so strange though bc I was sitting there on the couch and I here his little laugh, and I look up thinking, wow that was weird, and I see this guy standing there (Hunter's friend) and I think nothing of it! Well he was being hidden in Kiki's giant hug!
Anyway, Saturday of course started out with pancakes and bacon! It was absolutely delicious, but we could not keep Katy out of the bacon! I mean this girl is bacon crazy!! She had to wait until after everyone had been fed, like Mike Haemmerle! I think she could eat a whole pig! Of course, what Nashville trip could be complete without a trip to the mall. Lots of cute stuff on sale, and I ended up finally getting a watch (Betsey Johnson), from the Buckle. Jake and I went halfies for Valentine's day! I was trying to find a pic to show you guys, but so far I have had no luck. It is surrounded by "diamonds" though so you know it is awesome. And it is "boyfriend" style, so it is a little oversized. After shopping we went to the always wonderful Panera for lunch and headed back to the house. Stevie and I could not resist going to our fav Nashville store, Pangea! So we ran down there real fast and the trip was very successful! I was able to pick out a bday present for my friend Brittany (her's in the 17th) and SLCG got me an awesome white on white cameo ring, totally unique. She also got herself a long wrap skirt, and few gifts for a few peeps!
Then we had to hurry home to get primped for cocktail hour (singing!). Jake's friend Travis came over so all the boys were downstairs in the range shooting away, while girls chit-chatted and had cocktails. I opened a few gifts all awesome things I need for my cruise including the all important CASH! Then we headed out to Rosepepper Cantina which was absolutely packed, but def worth they wait! Like my mom said, the best part is the fresh made mango margaritas!! Hunter also had the Sangria which was tastey too! All-in-all I think we were all overstuffed, but definitely satisfied. The movie was nixed, and we returned to the Rogers to play some cards, so the boys didn't have to suffer through Confessions of a Shopaholic.
I was so exhausted that I came home today and had to nap for a few hours before I could possibly get anything done! Thanks soooo much for the great weekend!!
